This JUST happened this afternoon over instant messenger. Thought you'd enjoy reading the dialogue. Feel free to use any of this verbiage when talking to potential Team Members (although this is obviously VERY casual language, as it is over instant messenger, and with the sister of a very close friend of mine. So this might not be appropriate with every situation...) Also, all names except mine have been changed, and I X'd out the name of the other party plan company she is referring to.

i have to tell you this, I love your URBAN BOTANIC... I have used it all weekend and it is soooo much better fresher than xxxxx and i NEVER thought i would switch cause i loved xxxxxx... It is AWESOME. now i just hope i can keep feeding my addiction with it, AMAZING KENNA.

McKenna says (1:13 PM):</font>
I'm so glad you love it!

Kristy </font></font>says (1:14 PM):</font>
I really do and even E said how much he loved it more than xxxxx.. It was cute that he cared about how our house smells. I got the Black warmer, I think i might get the white one too

McKenna says (1:24 PM):</font>
i love black
my fave is Latte!

Kristy </font></font>says (1:25 PM):</font>
Yeah!!!! I do like them ALL! I wish i could have every scent on hand But that would be pricey

McKenna says (1:25 PM):</font>
yeah, to collect all of them... that's a lot.
in the long run it's a lot cheaper than candles and xxxxx tho
but still... not like you'd buy 100 candles to have around haha

Kristy says (1:26 PM):</font>
TRUE TRUE TRUE, I think one a month will get my collection going!!!!!

McKenna says (1:27 PM):</font>
do you know about our scent of the month program? if you think you want one per month you could sign up for that and we send you one for 25% off every month so it's 9.99 and we just mail it right to your door.
shipping is only $1.99

Kristy says (1:27 PM):</font>
SHUT UP no I didn't.

McKenna says (1:28 PM):</font>
here's more info: http://www.urbanbotanic.com/2/sotm.html
that only shows oct - dec but we just announced what january's will be too and it is really, REALLY yummy.

Kristy says (1:29 PM):</font>
Sweet, I will have to consider that, I honestly want to collect all of them...
What is this on your site about Joining the team?

McKenna says (1:30 PM):</font>
that's if you want to be a fragrance designer and earn extra money. that's what megan is doing

Kristy says (1:31 PM):</font>
YEAH! but what do you do?
And how much money can you earn
i am curious about this,
do you have to put alot of time into it?

McKenna says (1:33 PM):</font>
you can put as much or as little time into it as you want. a lot of our people already have full time jobs... basically how it works is....
you do parties. they're totally laid back and FUN. your party hostess - who invites her friends over for the party - gets seriously hooked up with free product. you give a 20 minute demo and then there's about 20 minutes of shopping time and they pay you directly

Kristy says (1:33 PM):</font>
ok

McKenna says (1:34 PM):</font>
you make 40% profit on everything you sell.
our average party is about $140 profit to our Fragrance Designers and they take about 90 minutes including set up

Kristy says (1:35 PM):</font>
WOW!!!! That is great.
i really like this idea. i will have to think about this one.

McKenna says (1:36 PM):</font>

it's so much fun.

Kristy says (1:36 PM):</font>
do i have to buy all the scents up front for them to sample or how does that work

McKenna says (1:37 PM):</font>
you would get an "E-Scential Starter Kit" which has everything to start your business including order forms, catalogs, etc... and it comes with all our scents as a sample. here's a pic of everything it comes with: http://www.urbanbotanic.com/2/comejoinus.html

Kristy says (1:37 PM):</font>
How much is that

McKenna says (1:38 PM):</font>
over $200 worth of products and materials... it's $99 to get started... and i'll teach you how to do everything. most people are profitable after their first party.

Kristy says (1:40 PM):</font>
i will really have to consider this. It dosen't ever hurt to earn some x-tra cash. How long does it take to get paid from the profit and who would pay me? Urban Botanic?

McKenna says (1:41 PM):</font>
you get paid instantly at your parties b/c your customers write their checks to you, not us. after your party, you then place an order with us... for the items that your customers ordered. but you pay a lot less to us b/c you're a Fragrance Designer. then you just keep the profits.
And you know that scent of the month program?

Kristy says (1:42 PM):</font>
Yeah?

McKenna says (1:42 PM):</font>
When people sign up for that, we link them to your account and we process their order and ship it every month for you and then at the end of the month send you a check for it.

McKenna says (1:42 PM):</font>
if you had 100 customers on scent of the month, your paycheck would be $400 per month from UB and that's not including ANY parties or other sales you are doing during the month. You know my sister Melanie? She's a FD and she had a party on saturday and 6 people signed up for scent of the month at just one party. so you get the idea.

Kristy says (1:42 PM):</font>

Sweet, So this is really easy and laid back

McKenna says (1:43 PM):</font>
well it's not get rich quick or anything of course
we ARE very fun and casual, BUT if you want to make serious money you do have to do serious work.

Kristy says (1:43 PM):</font>
Yes like anything else in this world.

McKenna says (1:43 PM):</font>
This is your own business...and those who treat it as a real business, get paid real money. But some people make the mistake of just signing up and thinking orders and parties will magically fall in their laps and then they're disappointed. You can't do that.

</font>McKenna says (1:44 PM):</font>
We're there to help you every step of the way. we have fun team meetings every month and weekly conference calls that really help you out.

Kristy says (1:46 PM):</font>
Oh that is neat! I like what i am hearing about it all.
It is just scary taking the first step.. But you have to risk to succeed.
Can you send me stuff in the mail so i can show E?

McKenna says (1:47 PM):</font>
you're right! yep give me your address, i'll pop some goodies in the mail today: catalog, some more info on how you get paid, and an example of what your business cards will look like (they're scented!) and party invitations, etc.

Kristy says (1:48 PM):</font>
Thank YOU! I can't wait. That way I can be showing E what I'm talking about so he can understand. he already loves Urban Bontanic because of the scents I wear, and the home scents. he says are soo much better than xxxxxx.. LOL i agreed

Kristy says (1:52 PM):</font>
I have a meeting to go into so i got to run, I will chat with you later, Thanks for sending all the info out. I appreciate that. Talk in a couple days?

McKenna says (1:52 PM):</font>

Can't wait!

Now remember... the FORTUNE IS IN THE FOLLOW UP!!! I already mailed her packet (I have a dozen on hand and already stamped at all times so I can mail them pronto without it wrecking my schedule for the day) and I know when she'll receive it, so I'll be CALLING HER the day after she would receive my package. I will say...

"Hey Kristy, it's Kenna... did you get my package? Great! Have you had a chance to go over it with E yet?"

if no: "Oh. Well, then I won't ask you what you think yet smileys/smiley17.gif. How about if I give you a call tomorrow, that'll give you time to really look through the info and write down some questions for me"

if yes: "Excellent. So, what do you think? Are you ready to give it a go?"

if no: "SOunds like you still have some questions..."

I'll let you know how it goes!smileys/smiley10.gif

Hi,

Just popping in. I think it was wonderful that you took the time to share that training. I know it took awhile to write it out. To me...it shows you care about other peoples success. That Rockshttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif
