Help! My director challenged us last night to call 10 people and try to book spas for Feb. I already have 2 but I can't seem to get over the fear of NO. smileys/smiley9.gif We have to let her know by 8. LOL.

What about a script to help you get thru the calls? There is one on your beautipage under the hostess section. It is really good and I have used it with a hostess who didn't know what to say to get them to come to her party.
No is just bringing you one step closer to yes. They are not rejecting you personally, just the opportunity to have a spa party. I know it is not something you want to hear, but keep going. Somebody will say yes! It all starts with that one person
Good luck!

Have you ever listened to Ilene Meckley? She's a leading authority on recruiting and helping people to grow their home-based businesses. She asks, "Have you ever offered someone a peice of gum or cake and they've said no? Did that stop you from ever offering it to anyone ever again? Of course not! That particular person just did not have a need for it at that time.
The same with asking people to hold spas for you! Just keep asking; someone out there needs pampered!
Good luck!

Oh boy, can I relate to this.smileys/smiley19.gif
I have no problem approaching strangers w/a very nonchalant "here this is for you, hope to hear from you" but the thought of calling someone up to get them to book a spa is terrifying to me!
I guess I would feel too much like a telemarketer.
It's that whole comfort zone thing again!smileys/smiley36.gif

That is why a script is a good thing to follow until your comfortable. I really do like the one on beautipage for hostesses. It can apply to booking a party and have used it recently to get people excited to have a spa party. Especially when they have never heard of BeautiControl. That is 99.5% of where I live!
No is never an easy thing to hear! Funny how that is one of the first words out of our kids mouths!
Jen, you have a good lead in on the conversation for those tentative bookings! Start the conversation about the spa party at your Mom's and how much they enjoyed it. I always make it urgent that they get their party booked because dates are going fast! You don't have to sound like a telemarketer if you make it personal.
Ilene Meckley is good! Also there is the Lemonade Lady...forget her name who is also good.
Have a great day! I have a spa party tonight and I lost my voice...too much talking on the phone. It has been a busy week and I love to talk! LOL
