Sitel is hiring for full-time agents. I got a letter from them today stating they only had full-time open, but no part-time. Give them a try. PM me for the website if you like....

I believe it's because they have HUNDREDS of applicants everyday. They can really pick and choose. Those with the best qualifications are going to get hired.
Even though I had just left a position as a call center MANAGER when I started looking to work at home.. I found it was easier to start my own business than try to get hired.
It certainly doesn't hurt to try.. I know many people who have gotten on with cha cha (in the beginning) and other companies but I just can't imagine all the applicants some of these companies get.

NO - ChaCha does not hire based on competition. They simply hire based on pass/fail of their tests. That is it. They hire ANYONE that can pass their silly little test.

Make sure in your phone interviews you speak up and speak clearly. Be very polite! I was amazing at the people in my teletech interview who I could hardly hear, rambled on about non-job related nonsense, or who couldnt follow very simple and basic directions. I dont know why I was picked over others with probably more experience, I like to assume that it was because I followed their directions to a T, logged in for the intervew 10-15 mins early, spoke up and was very clear and polite.
It may not get you the job, but I think it helps! Good luck and like others have said, just keep looking around, keep applying and just keep at it!

Just don't give up !!! I've been applying since August, to more than 50 companies. I finally got 2 offers this week. You want to work from home, you keep on going. Keep applying, testing, interviewing, etc. Keep a log. Visit forums like this to keep an eye on those companies, to kinda get a heads up on if people are getting hired or waiting just like you. Or maybe they have a hire freeze etc. What I do is job search, apply, test etc the hours I actually want to work. Because right now ....it is my job!!!I'm all over my computer at least 2-5 hrs a day, taking breaks in between, of course checking my email, visiting forums andjob boards. Trust me you WILL land something. And I bet ya offers will come at the same time, and guess what??? Now YOU'LL do the choosing of who YOU want to work with. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

I think that finding an at home job is even harder than finding one outside the home. Think about how hard it is to find an outside job that is a good fit for you. With so many different people trying to work at home it just takes time. Good luck!

I have wondered that myself. I'm not all that impressed with this ChaCha thing. They always say they're hiring, they advertise ALL over the place, then when I go to apply, they say they have no openings.....???
I think a lot of companies do that. They advertise saying they're hiring to get as many resumes on file as possible, then they don't hire because they have no room. Doesn't make any sense.
Keep trying. There are plenty of companies hiring for customer service, and related projects. But remember, everyone and their mother is trying to work from home. Its extremely competitive. It took me 8 months to find my first position.....
Keep applying, you will find it.
