I met a massage therapist who has opened up her own place. I discussed the arbonne possiblilty and using our lotions, seas salts, etc. I am seeing her tonight at a party for her to try the products, but she mentioned she buys her lotions in the LARGE spa jugs. Has anyone signed up spas and is it any savings to buy our products at wholesale? Our lotions and massage oils are incredibly small compared to a salon jug of lotion, but it would be great for her to be able to sell the products she is using on her clients.

Barbara,

I would stress that our products are concentrated so a little goes a long way.

I would also draw up an example to show her how to buy the products at even more than 35% off (when you factor in the $100 for $20 purchases).

I had one just sign up. She likes using more natural stuff anyhow so she couldn't get big jugs full of lotion. She is loving being wholesale and just started looking into doing the biz. She has been with other companies and told me how much she loves the Arbonne people and how we aren't pushy. That is sooo great to hear.

I am hoping after she tries the products, she will see the difference from ours and the "jug brand." Its nice to hear that others are seeing the difference. I will definetly show her the different purchasing options. It is just her as an independent massage therapist, so I know that she is trying to save as much money as she can. Hopefully, our products will blow her away!smileys/smiley17.gif

I know that massage therapists can get the large quantities of lotions & oils for a very low price! I received a massage for a gift several months ago & of course discussed Arbonne with the therapist. She said she is a w/b and loves the products, but she can't afford to use them in the quantities she uses. It was in avery spa, so I don't know if they charge her rent or she splits the fees, etc. I think we are talking about a BIG price difference! The spa she was operating out of was extremely nice, but wouldn't let her display her products, even in her room, unless they got a cut of whatever she sold.

I am thinking that the next time I get a massage I will bring the unwind massage gel & lotion and ask the therapist to use it!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is what I was thinking. To use arbonne exclusively on all her clientsis probably really expensive compared to what they normally pay. But, I am hoping that she will sell the products at retail since it is her place! That would be great! We'll see! She is coming to a party tonight to try the products.

Well, I need to go get ready for the party! This is a business launch for my first BB!!! Wish me luck!!Edited by: bbrown1226

Barbara,

I'm sure you're having the party right now, I'd love to hear how it goes!! Let us know how the shakes went with the added ingredients, and what happened with the massage therapist!! What a great opportunity :0)

My sister is a massage therapist and had her own practice for years but recently married a man in the army and is now living on base in KY. She had to close up her practice smileys/smiley19.gif

Good luck tonight and have fun! smileys/smiley1.gif

Hey everyone! Just got back from the party. Not a huge sales party, but it was good. There was 4 in attendance, one was the massage therapist. She really liked the aromatherapy products, and talked briefly about selling the sea salt scrubs for retail. We both talked and agreed that the lotion probably wouldn't be cost affective since she does full body massages and usually gets quite a large bottle of lotion. But she is very open to carrying other products for retail. I gave her a business packet and will talk w/ her in a few days to discuss building a business w/ wholesale accounts. Even if she sells retail, that would be awesome! She can make a little extra profit, and it will help me maintain my district and area someday. I think having a few bb's who sell retail is nice. It takes the pressure off of me of selling $2500 each month, especially if all my bb's want to shoot to the top right away too. Kinda off topic here, but I think a successful business for me would be, of course, serious BBs, lots and lots of clients and wholesale buyers who regularly reorder many products, not just the RE9, and then consultants selling for retail profit. I think its important not to step over those who may be interested in making only $500 extra a month. Sometimes we get caught up in only looking for people who want to be RVP in 2 days. Wow! I really got off topic!! So, back to the party!! So yes, 4 in attendance, one more party booked, one possible party, 4 referrals, and a couple orders. This was my first party since late November so it was great to get back in! I keep "tweeking" my party approach and learn as I go!

Yeah, so I walked out of the house and forgot my bag that had the banana and milk in it. So, I skipped the shake option and will do that at the next party my new bb is having on Monday. I will keep everyone posted. But, it will give me a chance to practice with it and make sure I like it too! I am really picking. If I could mix it w/ chocolate ice cream, I'd be happy!smileys/smiley2.gif
