Good morning Bella Babes! smileys/smiley36.gif
Chances are very good that I will be doing a fundraiser for an
out-of-state organization. I was hoping that others among us
have had experience with this and can help me with some
questions. Or perhaps we can just brainstorm together!
--I know the company will dropship the order, but how do we
address a partial case? If the final order for jars is not a
multiple of 12... How would you do this? Donate the extra
jars?
--Do you provide scent samples with the participant packets
(with the order forms)? What about for large groups?
--Have you offered incentives/prizes for long distance groups?
Did you contact local businesses in their area for donations,
offer our products, or offer to split the cost of some desireable
items that the organizer purchases in retail stores? (i pod,
gameboy, etc.)
Can you tell I've been mulling this over all weekend?!!
Thanks gals, I know you'll all have great input for me. What
would we do without this forum?! smileys/smiley32.gif

HI Ktt, if the organizations sells 6 or more cases, the company will ship a case that is not a full 12. Anything under that, you have to fill. I am not sure what i would do. Maybe, depending on how many left, donate one to each of those organizing the FR?
I have an out of state FR getting ready to begin and i sent a page with the scents, their color and scent description along with the actual sign up sheet. I asked them to choose scents that most people knew or were familiar with.
This particular group is happy with the profit per jar and that is all the incentive they need. If businesses want to donate that would be great, but I am just giving them more per candle.
HTH!

Thanks, Jennifer!
With regard to scent samples, what I am wondering is whether
you include small samples for each ORDER FORM so the
participants who go out to sell candles have them available for
their customers to smell.
I know this is not necessary, but my thoughts are that they are
inexpensive and likely to boost sales. I have tiny ziplock
jewelry bags that are approx. 2"x2" and thought these would
work well. Your thoughts on this?

Yes that is a good idea, as long as you have the votives on hand. I know my group is selling almost 20 different scents. I did advise them to sell 5-10 scents, but they chose not to. i dont have all the votives i would need. But if i did, i would try and send some.
I guess it depends on how many you have doing the FR too. I would love to hear others thoughts on this too!!
Good luck with it!

Hi Kitt & Jennifer, I haven't done any fundraisers but would like to. You both said that these are not your local organizations. Would you like to share how you obtained these?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi Penny!
I have a page on my personal business website devoted to
fundraiser information. There is a form for people to fill out if
they are interested and would like more information about
raising funds for their organization with Mia Bella. This is how I
was contacted by the organization that is out of state.

My re-order labels and the labels on my brochures all say
"RETAIL, FUNDRAISERS, WHOLESALE, INCOME
OPPORTUNITIES"
This generates interest, too.
Just get out there and get the word out about your business-
and people will come to you! smileys/smiley2.gif
