I just started on here a few months. I don't hardly post. I am a single mom. I work part time as a file clerk. I don't earn enough to be on my own so have to live with my parents. The last several months I have been looking for ways to earn online. I have looked into pay per click which is not much money. I have tried surveys but never qualify. I read emails but dont earn much. THe last thing is affiliate. I have tried finding affiliate sites but cant. I also tried finding typing jobs but they are even harder to find. I guess I was hoping someone on here could help direct me to even some of my choices or something different. I just want to earn enough money to live on my own. THanks if you can help me.

Have you tried www.mechanicalturk.com (http://www.mechanicalturk.com)? You won't make alot of money to start off with, but a couple of other site owners I know have actually hired some of their content writers from here.

Do you have customer service skills? There are a lot of work@home customer service jobs.

Have you thought about freelance writing? You could also try blogging or affiliate marketing. I think a lot of people, myself included find that doing a number of different things brings in a lot of different income and when you put it all together, it works.

Look at the jobs or companies that hire workers from home. Also check out weegy I've made some extra cash from there. Just follow the link in my siggy if interested it's free to sign up. I don't get a referral or anything either. Good luck!

You are not going to earn enough money to do anything by going the weegy, mturk, survey or email reading route. That stuff is only good for a few extra bucks here and there. If you don't have much job experience, or never worked at home before...check out liveops.com and west.com
These are two call centers where most people get their start. Liveops especially has very flexible hours so you can work at night when your little one is sleeping. Good luck!
Forgot to add: If you have super typing speed, and great grammar skills, check out the transcription folder here. There are some companies that will hire without experience if you can pass their test.
You will likely have to find several different things to do in order to make ends meet. Have you considered applying for a pell grant to get back into school to train for something that can really support your little family?

You've been given some great ideas, now just check it all out and see what will work for you. It's nice that you're parents are close, so you can live with them, but I know you just want to get out on your own, which is understandable. Keep looking, you'll find something that works for you as long as you never give up!

Thanks everyone. I am looking into the whole customer rep. from home thing. I am checking into west.com. Liveops wants fifty dollars for background check and I dont have that kind of money. Does anyone know if west.com charges for something like that?

You can try http://www.westat.com/. I applied for them but wasn't hired only b/c I couldn't commit to a set schedule 2 weeks in advance. There's no upfront costs involved. You're just on the phone doing quick surveys for people that are expecting your call. This is different from west.com
Best of luck!
