I had started writing all of this on another thread and thought I should start one for it instead.

I signed up after Celebration last year. I'm not sure I will be able to go this year. My husband is not crazy about me being gone overnight, much less a few nights and out of town. I'm going to be working on him from now until then.smileys/smiley2.gif His brother lives just outside of Dallas, so maybe I can talk him into staying with him. Does BeautiControl send out much information on Celebration? Is this something I need to go to if I'm going to make a career out of BC? I like to gather as much info as I can so I'm well armed for all of his questions!

Thanks Bunches!

Denise,

It is not required until you get to DIQ, but it really does help you with your Spas, booking, and inspiration. We will find out the dates for Celebration at the Leadership conference in February and it will be in our Achiever for March.

You can make a career without the conferences, but they really help to pump you up and you gain So much useful info, plus they are a FUN weekend away with the ladies, and you get the oppurtunity to meet the BEST inour business and learn first hand from them at our workshops.

I am taking my Husband this year because it is good for them to see how our business works and to help him to encourage me and get me in the right direction, should I ever veer off.

BeautiControl is also about friendhips and going to these really help to establish them as well as this board and your Unit.

Good Luck,

Denise, Celebration is usually the last weekend in July. And like Tess said, it will be required once you move up into leadership. Although Celebration and Leadership are both a great time away with a bunch of other women,it's is also a time of growth for your business. The weekend is packed full of workshops where you learn how to work your business from the best in the business. You will find women there with their husbands so maybe you could bring yours along. There will be things for him to do. There is usually a day of golf for the husbands and they will be able to go to the assemblies. If he doesn't enjoy it then maybe he'll let you go by yourself next year! smileys/smiley4.gif

BeautiControl added the golf day for the husbands last year and I think it is great! There were more husbands at Celebration supporting their wives and it was at all levels, not just DIQ and above. I personally talked to a few and they were really enjoying it and understand more about BeautiControl and the acheivements of their wives. My husband wants to come this year too...he has been great support to me in the last 3 years.

Do you have to go? No. Like everyone says it is not required. I missed a year myself due to moving. Last year, I made it a priority. I am so glad I did. It clicked in a seminar....the big picture, little picture, etc. If you are in your first year of business, I highly suggest you go! If you are in your second + year, I highly suggest you go!

I got no more than 4 hours of sleep each night. I roomed with my Director (also my recruiter) and we had heart to heart talks and fun the whole trip! She has taken the time to develop me into a leader and that is a precious thing when you have that kind of support. Get to know your Directors if you are not a direct to them. This is a great place to do it! Tell them your goals and aspirations so they know how to help you get there.

We will be hearing more information on what is being planned for us this spring! I heard from that wonderful singer that the plans for us this year are going to be out of this world! I wish I could remember his name, he sang I Believe I Can Fly...anyway, he had a room next to us last year.

Have a great evening!

Thank you ladies for the information! I have really been wanting to go since this is my first year. My director, who is also my recruiter, has really talked it up to me. i am really interested in the workshops. I did not realize that husbands also came along. Knowing my husband as soon as I say "husbands go too", he will quickly says "that's alright, you go ahead without me"smileys/smiley36.gif

Have a great day!

So how costly is Celebration? Do we cover all the costs ourselves or are there any discounts etc...? Thanks! I'd love to go, but can't afford a plane ticket and hotel.
