Hey guys. I just wanted to express my frustration and I am totally open to advice. I'm 24 years old and I still get acne. Before trying Arbonne I had tried Mary Kay and Pro Activ and just about everything from the shelves of Wal Mart. I have never gone to a dermatologist because I don't want to go on a medicine like acutane or others like it. I don't want to be given an anti biotic or hormones because of health reasons. I have been using Arbonne products since August and I was so impressed with their philosophy and their products. I signed up as a consultant in September so that I could get the products at a discount and also with the mind set that I could always turn to Arbonne as a business whenever I wanted to. I am using Clear Advantage morning and evening along with the supplement. I am taking the herbal colon cleanse and I'm using the prolief to balance my hormones. I don't use anything that has petrol chemicals in it because I know how they can mess with your hormones. I still have acne and I just don't know what to do. Worst yet, I don't feel confident enough to sell the products because I feel like who's going to be convinced that the products are so great when they can take one look at my face and see that it's not doing anything for me. I do believe these products are the greatest but why aren't they working for me? I feel like a freak or something. My skin does feel softer but I'm just still getting the breakouts with white heads and they hurt too. Any suggestions?

Hey there~

How long have you been using the CA system? They say that it can take 4-6 weeks before you will notice a difference...your skin has to 1)adjust to this new skin-care and 2)get rid of the gunk in your pores.

My suggestion would be to go to a dermatologist. You are trying to self-medicate a problem that is not getting any better regardless of what you do. OTC products will help some, but it may not help all.

If after you have tried all of these things and still see no improvement....head for the doctor!

I agree with Jennifer, I would see a dermatologist.

You may be irritating your skin because you think you have acne, when in fact, you may have dry skin. And by using the cleansers that absorb oil, your skin may be producing more oil causing clogs and breakouts. But only a dermatologist will know for sure.

I got to see my skin through one of those machines. It was soooo cool. Anyway, I knew I always had oily skin, so I never used moisturizer. Come to find out, my skin was dehydrated. Once I used the right stuff, my skin wasn't as oily.
