I had a great question today from a girl that is hosting a spa tomorrow night. She wanted to know how Skinlogics Clear compares to Proactiv. I called BC and they said they didn't have any information to compare the two. She did say that it is one of the most sold skin care systems right now. I was wondering what your experience has been with the clear system.

I have a client that switched from ProActive to our new Clear line. She said that ProActive is more expensive, doesn't last as long, and doesn't work nearly as well on her skin as our BC Clear. But that's just one client, so...

i was on proactiv over a year ago. it was irritating to my skin at times (using the whole system)and i had inconsistent results with it, but i had tried everything at target, so i thought i would stick things out it and hope for the best. I went and had a facial done and my esthetician asked me what i was using b/c is was stripping the layers from my skin, causing me to have more breakouts... total frustration!!! i actually went to my mom's spa a couple of nights later (only washing a small portion of my cheeks b/c my skin was so embarrasing) since i was in the market for new skin care, i booked my own spa, got my skin care discount, and well, the rest is history! i use a combination of the Skinlogics clear and 20's line- and i am own walking testimonial. sure i have the hormonal breakouts, but when i tell people that i was on proactiv just over a year ago, they are shocked! Skinlogics clear is so much more gentle and effective (andyes, it does last longer!) so, i do convert several people over... hope this helps!

Not having either handy to look at, I can't say with any certainty. But I have a feeling if you look at proactive you'll find less botanicals (more chemicals) than Clear. BC is botanically based (which is one of our selling points) and I know that proactive is VERY HARSH so I would think you'd find more chemicals in it.
Just a thought. . .again I don't know this with any certainty.

Hi Jenn
I have two gals that I have converted from Pro-Active to the Clear line. Both stated that the Pro-Active was harsh, inconsistent and basically was not producing the results they wanted. The one gal had it so bad and her boss has even taken notice to how much better her skin looks and wants to meet with me soon for her own "personalization"!
My sister's niece (by marriage)has acne and used the Clear inconsistently. Her dad purchased the Pro-Active twice and finally decided she needed to go back to the Clear.
My daughter and her12 yr. old son both use the Clear and love the results. Although my daughter has recently changed to the 20's tonic and moisturizer. She has mentioned that the gals she works with are all interested in what she has been using. I keep telling her to sign-up and take their orders. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif But, you know how children can be. Unfortunately she is in another state so I just can't pack up my case, let them try the stuff and take their orders. I have thought about sending her a mini and letting them try it and then going to my BeautiPage.
I do find it interesting that Pro-Active is such a well known name, yet it seems we BC ladies get better results with our product. Or is it just me?

Here's what I posted on a previous post about this:
"I was considering making a post about the new Skinlogics Clear, because
I have been using it and haven't seen anyone else talk about it.
My
skin is super oily, so I actually have to use the scrub daily in the
20's line. I don't actually get a lot of pimples, but blackheads
abound. The All Clear just didn't feel all that great to me, so when
they reformulated the Skinlogics lines the 20's was perfect. But, if I
ever missed a day washing my face (which is easy to forget when you
have a very active 4 year old) the pores on my nose completely clog to
the point where you can feel the buildup.
I had just started
using the All Clear sulfur masque again that I had sitting around, my
husband had tried it and didn't like the burning feeling. I toughed it
out, sitting in front of a fan while it dried, and really liked the
results. So when I learned that the new Skinlogics Clear set would have
a sulfur scrub/masque, I was really excited. I ordered the starter sets
last month, and after a week or so finally picked one up to try it out.
I LOVE the scrub/masque. It doesn't burn to leave on, and it
makes my skin feel really smooth. Then when I wash it off with the
cleanser, I can literally SEE it breaking down the oil and buildup in
my pores. The ones on my nose are huge (but not enough to get a good
picture of to send this review to BC like they asked) and when I wash
off my face, I can see the edges of the pores almost.. liquify? I also
really like the moisturizer, it keeps me from getting oily throughout
the day, which also means I don't have as much oil to build back up in
those pores.
The one issue I have is with the toner. It's the same one as the old set, and its just too drying and harsh for me.
So yeah, I was in a rush when I responded before, hopefully this will help others recommend this set!"
And to compare to proactive, tell her that this will NOT bleach her towels, washcloths, and sheets like it does, it won't dry your skin up terribly, things like that.

In the past, ProActiv was based solely on benzoyl peroxide and All Clear was based on it and salicylic acid. Dermatologists generally recommend both. So I used to explain this difference to my clients. But our new system has even less benzoyl peroxide in it and salicylic acid shows up in more of the items. ProActiv may have updated their products as well so I don't know about today.
I do know that our All Clear products last longer and cost less.I've also heard that ours are more effective but gentler, especially the new system.
