My first question is are they worth doing?!!! Then entry fee is $250. My second question is am I allowed to use arbonne's flyers and information regarding the products at the expo? The whole advertising bit confuses me. I would be listed as Arbonne International at the expo - does this meet their guidelines. Also if anyone has done an expo I would love to hear your thoughts!

Yes, they can be done.
From what I have heard from those who have done it, you should expect to mainly get names & numbers to follow up with afterwards. Like many things, itcan behit & miss. I believewe are always welcome to use Arbonne generated materials to promote our company & products.

Make sure you have independant consultant and your name under the Arbonne international listing, so it shows it is not Arbonne corporate that is there.
I have done several and bought the $20 set of posters from business aids and put them up on the wall behind me or on an easel. They are bright and eye catching. I printed up stickers with my contact info put them on everything--samples, catalogs, before and after sheets (those are cheaper to hand out at shows!) I also got the cheapo arbonne brown paper bags to put samples and literature in, then they carry that around the expo and put other things in it, most are so thankful to have a bag to use, then they go home with a bag that keeps our name fresh in their mind! I also put my sticker under the arbonne logo on the bag!!! Never know where it might end up.
I am doing a holistic health fair next month, where the target audience is people looking for alternatives to regular products, so I hope it goes well! I am trying to find a way to target vegetarians, especially vegans who are sometimes unaware that their skin care and makeup has animal products in it. Most are surprised to find our makeup is such high quality and large selection of colors. they have been disappointed in other vegan lines in that respect.

When you do these expos are you looking to sell products or to introduce the opportunity? The reason I ask is because I did one and I seriously had no luck selling anything. I thought it was a waste of time and money.

I do them to get my name out there and introduce Arbonne to people who have never heard of it. It is not a household name by any means, and any new exposure is good. The key is follow up!
I have never found a business builder from one, but have gotten a few customers.

Do you have anyone in your successline? If the cost is too much for just you, perhaps you could split the costs and any contacts that you receive. I know someone who did a show/expo over the holidays. She didn't move much product but did end up with over 50 contacts to follow up with. Edited by: Kiana's Mom

Hi there!
I've did a holiday show and had great results from letting people try our awaken sea salt scrub! I had a big bowl, wet their hands by pouring some water froma pitcher on them, scooped some sea salt on their hands, they scrubbed and then I rinsed over the bowl with the pitcher water. Also, by having a raffle that they sign up for gained alot of contacts for me. Everybody wants a chance to win something. I raffled whatever I had around. 1 time a body set, antoher time a sea salt scrub. Hope that helps. Have fun!
P.S. I personally wouldn't spend the $250.00 myself. Maybe you could ask your upline to go in with you.

Do you know what the expected traffic will be at the event? If there are a lot of people expected to go through, and you do a great job of following up on leads, etc. It would probably be worth it. How many new business builders would be worth a $250 investment?Pick a goal and do what it takes to reach that.
It's always risky, but if it works out, I think it could be totally worth it.
I do think you should bring someone along to help at your table. If it gets really busy, and extra person can be a big help!

I think it depends on what kind of business expo it is. What is the theme? There are many kinds, and they attract all different kinds of people. What other kinds of companies are going to be there? What day of the week is it, etc.

It is a Friday night and Saturday afternoon. I did find out there is no exchange of money allowed. SO I could not sell any product at the expo - however last year they had 1200 people walk through. It is all local businesses in our community - basically an awareness expo letting people know of the services available. I should probably promote the business more than anything, correct, since I cannot sell the products? I could also have a sign up sheet for people wanting to try the RE9 line. Still cannot decide if it is worth the money?!

1200 people! That's excellent. Since its a business expo, there will be lots of people who might see the potential in starting an Arbonne business. I'd go for it, and maybe try to find another Arbonne rep to go with and share the expense, if the $250 is more than you want to invest. Bring Lots of Curiosity Packs, and make sure to get contact info and take notes on the quality conversations you have! If you plan for and execute great follow up, I believe it will be well worth it. If your focus isonsponsoring vs retail sales, I say GO FOR IT!

It is a lot of money, so you need to decide if it's worth it. People will walk through and may expect freebies so you could have samples out that people could try and then a contact information sheet so you could collect names and numbers. Curiosity packs are a definate, but can be costly -- you don't want to hand out complete ones to just anyone. Maybe you could make up some flyers to hand out, too, and keep the "good" curiosity packs to those that you actually had a conversation with about the business to (and to those who seem really interested).
If you decided to do it, I would try to get someone else to go in on it with you. $250 is a big chunk of money, plus expenses of curiosity packs, and anything else, especially since you won't be able to make any sales at the expo to recoup some of your costs.
