I had a question today that I am responding to.

We are currently running an "in store" promo for our gallery customers. They recieve a gift card with $25.00 purchase at our physical stores and has nothing to do with the testers. There is/was NO purchase required for the folks that are doing the testing.

Just a heads up-the October- cards went out a little early, so if you are signed up-you should be recieving them soon!

And if you have anymore questions, please don't hesitate to ask!Edited by: dmoradi

There is a message that I posted toward the end of September, but I can't find it. Anyway, I sent out 5 gift cards and then 10 more for October, because I was having issues with some of my pages.(Especially the back end programming.) So I sent out gift cards for people to test out the site. All I asked is that they shop with their card and give feedback so I can identify problem spots. I have testers for this round, but after the first of the year I will be looking for product testers. If you are interested, send me an email to dmoradi@msn.com. I 'll try to find the earlier posts that explains it more.

I still can't find my original post, but the gift cards have all gone out. Thank you to everyone who is participating. I have been able to fix some of the trouble spots and there is a couple I am still working on, so if it doesn't work the first time, keep trying.

On to the product testers. I'll try to keep it brief, but if you have questions please ask!

I use alot of the products I sell, because I don't want to sell something that is not going to perform the way it is supposed to, etc. Yes, I am a little retentive about it, (I get teased all the time) but if I find that products in my stores (onlineor thephysical stores)are problematic, then I won't carry them anymore. ( I do have links, but I only will link to companies that I have personally used and have had a good experience with.) Why?
I am a business owner, but I'm also a Mom and a consumer, so I do have expectations about quality and value for the money etc. and if I won't use a certain product, then I am not going tosell it tomy customers.

Since we have grown over the last several years, I have found that it is impossible for me to try to test all the stuff I receive from various manufacturers that want me to carry their items, so that is why I am looking for product testers. Testers try out things I send to them, they give me their opinion & feedback, and in exchange they can keep the item. (No there really is no choice of items, because I currently I have over 4,000 products, from personal care to garden statues.) So what I do is this, when I need to have some products tested, I send out an email, to see if it is something the tester wants to try. If yes, then I send. If no, then I don't. (and NO I do not spam or scam, although I often wonder where some of these companies or individuals get the time to think up all that stuff http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif)

Then, when feedback is collected, I make a decision of whether to carry the item or not. That's where the gift cards come in. I send out gift cards, then people randomly choose their items, and I can see if my inventory system is going to have issues or shipping pages on the online site, or javascript or whatever else might come up. It allows me to head problems off rather than have to deal with a disaster later on. This is valuable for us because we are doing national advertising and some other projects, and I would rather fix an issue BEFORE it snowballs.

Hopefully this makes sense, but if you have any questions, please ask!

Happy Friday!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif
