Hi Ladies,
It has been a while since I have been on the boards or able to even work on my BC business. My house got flooded, my husband had some problems at work and has since been laid off. I need to get my BC business going and fast. I have done the open house/neighbor/friend party and can't seem to get anything scheduled from those. Any ideas would be great. One of my consultants is in a similar position and we want to get somethings goingtogether. One idea we have talked about is going to the hospitals and talking with the nursing staffs. Does anyone have a letter that they have used to open the door to hospitals?
Thanks for your help.

glad to see you back Natalie. I'm sorry to hear about your home and your husband being out of work. I'm not doing anything with my business, so I'm afraid I haven't tried the suggestion that I'm going to make. I think some of the consultants on this forum have had wonderful success in doing spas at schools on teacher work days and they should be coming up very quickly. I think they usually have one or two around the middle of the fall semester. And....you husband can help with your children (if you have any) while you do this. Also, what about taking him with you to help.
As far as hospitals, you might try to find the department that handles Employee Recreation. I worked at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill NC for several years and we had a department called Employee Recreation and they planned all sorts of stuff for the staff. Many years ago, we did have someone come in and do "color analysis" and it very well could have been BC - I don't remember, except being very envious of the person who was chosen from the audience for the make over. Staff had to sign up for a time to go, and it had to be done on the meal break. Most staff at UNC only had 30 minutes for lunch.

Natalie. UNC Hospitals also had a "health fair" several times, "craft fairs" and other such events. Folks could come in and set up booths. There was always drawings for door prizes. Employee Recreation usually coordinated these. I don't have a clue as to whether there was a charge for the booth/tables.
