Hi everyone,

My membership for the beautipage and client connection expires this month. I have had it for 18 months, the first free and then I paid for a year. I haven't had much luck with either.smileys/smiley13.gif I sent the catalogs and never had any sales off of them. I had several hits on the beautipage and only had one person buy that was a friend from Texas, (I am in CA) but since she joined BC--she has no reason to purchase off of the beautipage. What I am wondering --- is, how has everyone else done. Is it a success for you all or has it been a dud??? I like having the beautipage, but not sure it is worth the month. What do you all think????smileys/smiley25.gif

Thanks for your input.smileys/smiley20.gifsmileys/smiley21.gif

Hi Jo,

I must say that I have not had any business off of my beautipage. So, I will not be renewing it once my six months is up. So far, I have had better luck selling the productsmyself.Maybe in the future if my business really picks up, I will try it again. I would at least want to make sure that I would be able to have enough beautipage ordersso that the subscription would pay for iteself. But as for now,it is not worth it for meto spend the moneyon it.I know my upline has never had a purchase off of her BP, and she really pushes her clients to use it.

That is just my experience, I am sure many other consultants have had awesome luck with the Beautipage. Best of luck, and have a great weekend!

I can tell you that my beautipage is really taking off this month! (84 site visits!) Personally, I like the fact that anyone who see my signature on this board or onmybusiness cardcan go on my beautipage and look around.

I do have some clients who look at my beautipage and then email me their order rather than do it online.

My mailings do not always bring in orders, but I like to keep my name out there to my clients. Some order every few months and others once in a while. They get to see all the great new product and now in February will get to try samples!

Even when I didn't get a lot of hits, I never considered closing my 24/7 store. To me, it was just anotherbusinesstool that would help me promote my business.

You need to decide for yourselves what is best for you.Personally, I don't think 6 months is enough time to tell how successful this tool will be for you.

A question for you both: Do you follow up on those mailings to see if your clients like a new prouduct in the catalog? Or maybe ran out of the product they really like? These mailings are a great way to get in touch with your clients 4 times a year! Something else to think about!

Have a great weekend!

I have had enough orders from my website to pay for itself and then some. Do you let your clients know your website, is it on your business cards and catologs.

Client Connection is like a chess game, if after 3 catologs no order, I take the client off the list, and add new ones as time goes by.

You decide if it is worth it, or not. Like Vicki Said follow up with clients after getting a new catologand see what they thought of our new product, and say, I am placing on order on Friday and I just wanted tocheck and see if youwanted anything?

Good luck,

I am so glad someone asked that question. My six months is coming up in February and I have been trying to decide whether or not to renew my beautipage. I have had a lot of hits, but only one order. This months mailing is the first one I have participated in. I am curious to see if I get any sales from it.

I plan on calling and following up. I only have one little problem...I can't remember when they were being sent to clients.smileys/smiley9.gif I had the e-mail that told of the date changes, but I guess I deleted it. Could someone let me know when they were to be mailed out.

Rule of thumb is to follow up 2 1/2 weeks after the mailing which I believe as the 9th of January. I have heard from most of my clients telling me they received the product guide in the mail. This is the first time BeautiControl has done that for us and I think it is great!

Customer care is so important in this business!

Hits mean that people are looking at your webpage. It could be your clients, client's friends, people you meet who you give a business card to, etc. Like I said, most of my clients will look at the beautipage and then email me their order.

I also take people off my mailing list after 6 months of not ordering. But I do keep them on my client connection. Then every once in a while, I will add them back on my mailing list so they know I am still working my business. I don't want to lose them completely!

Have a great weekend!

Thanks Vicki!

I didn't know they didn't mail out new catalogs. I figured they did that every year. I am really glad they did. I guess I had better start making calls!

Thanks for the input...I am still not sure if I will keep the beautipage or not. I do have it on my business cards, my stationary, my e-mail signature and the the stickers I put on my catalogs and anything else I can put it on. I also follow up a week after the mailings go out for client connection.....but really no takers on that either. I have the regulars that always call to refil......but nothing on the new products unless I've done a spa and shown them. I must be doing something wrong!!smileys/smiley19.gif

Always ready to spa..........always ready to share!smileys/smiley1.gif

Jo,

If you can afford it, keep it. If you can't right now (like me), wait till you've built a larger clientele or reaping bigger benefits and resubscribe then. It totally stinks to have the url on all your contact supplies if you discontinue it, I understand that point completely. On my other business cards I had to scratch off my email server and rewrite my current one. PITA.

I had noticed during my trial period my site NEVER got any hits, according to Beautinet. (I don't know if that was accurate or not. A friend even said she looked at the site. Maybe she wasn't being honest?) And I told EVERYONE I knew about it. I even encouraged my friends to order through it instead ordering through me. But they preferred ordering personally. Our website is a great deal compared to my other biz, and it offers a monthly special that only BP consultants and clients can get. I like their offers.

If you think you'll regret not having it anymore, keep it. But just remember you can always sign up for it again at a later time.

Hope you come to a decision you feel good about soon!

My beautipage hits used to frustrate me when I was new too. My desire to make this business successful from the beginning was strong and still is. So, I ran all kinds of personal promotions to get people into my webpage. A free gift for signing my guest book. My favorite one was a honor system referral program. Give 10 family and friends my webpage address and if they signed my guest book, they would get a free gift.

Then I realized something, a good solid business is not built in a day, week or a month! It takes time to get a great client base with re-orders. I hold spa escapes and make sure everyone knows my webpage address. I encourage them to look at it and give it to anyone they think would be interested that is out of town, state, etc. I do get referrals for new clients this way too.

How well are you promoting this? I know it is an expense, but I look at it as a business investment. Have you thought about who reads these posts that are lurkers who may be drawn to you and your webpage?

Just some more thoughts. I am not trying to argue for or against keeping your beautipage. I just simply want to pass on what I did to increase traffic and over time increase sales coming from my webpage.

Hope that helps some more!

Thanks Vicki and Tess,

After hearing both of your responses, I may just extend my subscription for a little longer. If I don't, however, would it cost me more if I ever decide to re-subscribe? For example, extra fees for cancelation, or a higher rate because I did not renew right after my subscription was up?I do have my website address oneverything I give out, and I tellclients and potential clients about it as well.I am seriousabout my BC business, and I want all of the tools that I canhave, but right now it is hard for me to pay forthis service when I haven't had any hits or purchases and business is still a little slow.

It is awesome that weare given the chance to have a website, and I know that it is relatively inexpensivecompared to other website companies.smileys/smiley1.gif

There is no extra charge but, you get the best deal when you renew all three Client COnnection, Webpage and Beautinet.

Good luck to you!

Please do what ever you feel you need to do, Like Kimberlee said you coud always add it again at anytime.

Just a question: if you don't subscribe to BeautiPage, can clients still go to BeautiControl.com and search for you as a consultant and order from you on-line still?

I went to beauticontrol.com and searched for a few consultants that i know are doing it just for themselves so I didn't think they would have a website and their names came up. Then it took me to a webpage with their name on it. So what do you think?

Even if you don't have your own URL, they could still order on-line then. Would we still get the commission? Someone else try thi maybe and let me know if it works for you, too. THanks!

Deb,

I do know that people can still order off bc's website, even if you don't have one. They have to enter your consultant number for you to get the credit. I have a customer moving to KC, so for her to reorder her skinlogics, it's best she just do it that way instead of contacting me whenever she needs to reorder.

But that's all I know! I'm not sure if we get 40% commission or less this way. I can't remember, but I'm pretty sure it's in the consultant guide.

I'm still in the free period of my BeautiPage but if it continues the way it HAS been going, I plan to keep it.

I plaster that website on everything: business cards, magnets, return address labels, all of my literature, sig lines in email, sig lines on message boards...you name it.

I also take the opportunity to tell people about it as often as I can--even as simple as giving the lady at the toll gate or the bank teller one of my business card magnets. I simply say, "This is for you--if you'd like a complimentary in-home spa treatment, just let me know!" They are ALWAYS like, "Oh, thank you!" And people really like the magnets. (I got them for free at vistaprint.com, only paid for shipping.)

And I have noticed my hits going up. MUST be a direct result of my marketing of my site!

I received four orders from ladies I only know from online message boards--because they checked out my BeautiPage. Had I not had that BeautiPage, I might not have gotten those orders.
