This is my 1st time, so please be gentle. I am seriously searching for a work at home position but am running into dead ends. I live & currently work in Texas. I have TONS of experience as a Dispatcher (which I absolutely love doing), CSR and some admin work as well. I have my own home office which includes everything needed to work from home. I work part time for a limo company that occasionally (less than 10 times a year) allows me to work from home, but I want a permanent at home position. Can anyone help me with some leads?

AllgoodTX-

I am a very new North Texan, having moved to the area about 6 weeks ago! I have been on this forum for quite some time, although I am so busy working (and moving across the country), that I rarely post.

At any rate, I know it can be frustrating and difficult to find WAH jobs that are up your alley, but I think you will find on this board that no one will be too willing to just 'hand' you anything. Many of us, including myself, have spent countless hours on their businesses, researching different companies, positions, doing necessary testing, and the like.

I would suggest you get comfortable, get something to drink, and starting reading this board, starting with the stickies at the top of the page. The many posts on here have so much great information, you will certainly find something that suits your needs.

I would also strongly recommend that you utilize the search function at the top of the page. It can be a little finicky, but many times it will return the information you are looking for.

I found this forum almost four years ago, and without it I would not be where I am now. Iam transcriptionist, who alsois a scopist/proofreader and I do data entry. I have built my business to the point where I have as much workas I canhandle. I have a growth plan in place, and as soon as my sons get older and go to school, I will have noproblem transitioning to full time, or whatever I want!

GL!

I am on Craig's List Daily. I would love to know where you are finding LEGIT WAH positions on CL because believe me............I have responded to everyone & it is ALL fake. I am in the Dallas area & would think employers would welcome the opportunity to allow employees to work from home - but ..... NO. Trust me, I am not sitting here waiting for a great offer to fall into my lap. I have been working 2 jobs for over 2 years now & am completely burned out. I am a successful single mom who just sent my 18 yr old son to college plus have just purchased a home. Problem is.....I donot have any time to enjoy this home I've worked so hard for (hence....that is why I am really wanting to find a position from home) Edited by: allgoodtx

I have actually been looking over the boards for the the past few days and haven't really found anything.......that's why I posted. I think this is a fantastic site & will continue my search. I was just hoping there might be a "Seasoned Vet" in my area with some advice. Thanks for responding. Edited by: allgoodtx

Sorry I wasn't able to help out. I am a "seasoned vet" just not from your area. Work from home jobs don't usually happen overnight. You have to educate yourself and do some major searching online to find them. I would say the average time it takes for someone to land a wahj is 1-2 years. So, keep your head up....it'll happen. In the meantime, I would suggest spicing up your resume and sending it out to all companies that interest you. Good luck!
