Hi everyone,

I'm just curious (I'm always wondering about something!). I'm with Arbonne (and I Love it! I'm not looking to change...), and we have what we call a "wholesale buyer" option where we can sign people up to buy the products wholesalefor there personal use.

Do any other plans out there encourage the wholesale option for personal use?

I have a lot of girls on my team that have signed on for simply
personal use in Jafra and I know there are others on this board
that are not on my team that are personal use consultants with Jafra.
Most of the companies have personal use consultants, some just don't
neccessarily market it the way like Arbonne does.

Hey Meg,

I know Northern Lights at Home does not have anything like this. They actually discourage it to some degree. Obviously they know we are generally our own best customers, but they don't want us signing people up just for the discount.

Now my husband's company Amsoil, (sort of like ourdirect sales only they have motor oils, etc. and home care products) does have a "Preferred Customer" program where they buy at dealer costs. That's kind of nice for people who don't want to sell it, just buy a lot of it.

I have personal use consultants on my team. It is great when you know at your initial interview since then you don't expect them to do classes, attend meetings, etc.

A lot of people join Watkins just for the discount too.

I think it depends on your client. If they spend a lot of money with you, you don't want them to become a consultant. In some cases you can make more from their orders than you can with the commission you would get from the orders they place. I have a few wholesale buyers on my team. One of them has been a wholesale buyer for awhile and is now thinking about doing it as a business....So you never know what will happen!

I still receive a check from Nu Skin from our personal use distributors. With
Nu Skin, there is the added advantage of being able to sign up to get
wholesale pricing at no cost or obligation. Just order at wholesalewhenever
you want something. I believe that's one difference between a Network
Marketing plan, and a Direct Sales plan.

Yes, Scent-Sations (Mia Bella Candles) is wholesale without sales requirements and I have a couple "personal discount members" on my team too. They just prefer to get the product at a discount. I love when companies offer this

Small world, I am also a personal Arbonne shopper. smileys/smiley2.gif

I don't think Country Bunny Bath and Body</span> actually *encourages* it, but you are certainly</span>
allowed to join just to get a personal discount and that is what a lot
of reps do. They like getting a % off of their salt scrubs and
shea butter, etc!smileys/smiley32.gif

A lot of Avon reps sell for themselves and friends/family. Its not encouraged, but not discouraged either.

Yeah- I do both AVON and Watkins and with both people sign up for personal use and maybe friends and family - with the low start up's it's possible to do that - I wanted to do that with a couple others - but the quotas and start ups were too high -

I've supported my habit too for several years now - LOL - smileys/smiley2.gif

We don't have any minimum requirements nor quotas with Watkins. We have lots of folks sign up just for their own personal use. That was what I did when I first got started. Later I learned how much fun the biz was, so I expanded!smileys/smiley17.gif

Southern Living at Home offers a 25-50% offitems you purchase for display or for yourself as long as you are a consultant.

To stay a consultant, there is no required purchases. Just an annual fee of $20-50 depending on your activity.

It's a sweet deal.

We also have alot of consultants with Usborne who sign up for the discount- especially homeschooling moms. There are no monthly sales requirement with Usborne either- so you can buy what you want when you want!

Hi! Tahitian Noni Int'l has a Preferred Customer program that does not
require any min. purchases. Simply pay a $35 annual renewal fee. You
get the dist. discount and commission on retail orders under your ID,
but aren't allowed to sponsor. They don't exactly promote</span> it, but I never discourage it. If it gets people drinking our juice, I'm all for it!

Many people sign on with Jerky Direct for the discount (myself
included!). For $12/mo you get approx 1/2 lb of jerky mailed to you
(free s/h) each month and your webstore.
