will:</span> Be responsible for accurate coding and abstracting of clinical information from medical records </span> Maintain coding data quality and integrity </span> Some occasional travel may be required to meet the needs of the facilities </span> Attend Tenet Coding Seminars for both inpatient and outpatient coding </span> Attend Quarterly Coding Updates and all coding conference calls</span> </span></span> </span></span> Qualifications </span> 4-6 years of Medicare inpatient and outpatient coding experience </span> 2-4 years experience with encoders and computerized abstracting systems </span> RHIA, RHIT, or CCS credentials </span> Advanced knowledge of ICD-9-CM and CPT coding principles and rules </span> Intermediate knowledge of disease processes </span> Intermediate knowledge of DRG classification and reimbursement structures </span> Effective written and verbal communication skills </span> Coding proficiency demonstrated by successful completion of Tenet coding exercise </span> Excellent organizational skills for initiation and maintenance of efficient work flow </span> Capacity to work independently and effectively from home</span>
