View Full Version : Yankee Candle

Yankee Candle happens to be a big seller in my area. In fact, I think it's pretty popular across the entire country. But here's a fantastic fact you can share with customers who are "die hard" Yankee fans.

Did you know that they sell their 14.5 oz Housewarmer Jar Candles for $18.99 and the burn time is 65-90 hours?

Compare that to our 16 oz jar candles that retail for $18.95 and have a CLEANER burn time of approx 120 hours!!!

I thought that was very interesting.

Hi Noah's mom,
I just thought I would let ya know in case you didn't notice in the back office Scent-Sations doesn't give a burn time for our candles. I noticed you said to mention the 120 hours for ours but the company does not say that. A lot of the other companies put the hours on the bottom of their jars but Scent-Sations does not. I just thought you might like to know that. Have a good night and thanks for sharing that info though.

Thanks, Tammy. I was just going by what other Mia Bella reps had told me about burn time. It's great to know that even if our burn time is comparable to theirs, we stilll sell more product for less.

Hi Noah's Mom! [waiving!]

I agree with you about the value of our candles in comparison
with other brand name gourmet scented candles out there.
Yankees are very popular in my area also.

It makes me feel great that we can offer our customers a
healthy alternative to products they already love, with more
scent choices, and at the same price!

Now THAT'S value!

Yep. With Mia Bellas you can burn and breathe at the same time!

Another thing other candle companies don't offer is all of the awesome opportunites that we have, and others can have as well. I think burn time is just to much of a variable to actually say how long ANY candle will burn. NO black jars or black walls either! smileys/smiley2.gifHave a scent-sational day!

Yes, if you purchase 2 jars from Yankee, you have almost covered your your COTM and you get a business opportunity, a dozen votives, a FREE website, a scent-sational bath bar, and best of all...you get to purchase your candles WHOLESALE for the rest of your life......

NOW, does yankee offer that kind of DEAL??? I would say not my dear!! smileys/smiley36.gif

PLUS......you can BREATH EASY (litereallly) knowing your home is SOOT FREE!!!!!

Can it get any better than that????? smileys/smiley32.gif

Here is my story and testimonial on the Y brnad of candles -

My good friend and neighbor, Susan, has been a great customer of mine for a few years.

Here is Susan's story -

You know how it is - you are out shopping, getting home decor items for fall and the upcoming seasons. There on the shelf sits the popular "Y-brand" candle scented Pumpkin Pie. It looks great and smells yummy in the jar, so you buy it.

You get it home, take the lid off and light it. 2 hours later, you see it burning over on the table, which reminds you, YOU JUST DON'T SMELL A THING!

After a few days of burning, still nothing.

So, you do what any smart candle consumer would do - you call your good friend Jackie, grovel, explain the silliness of what you have done and beg to get a Mia Bella Pumpkin Spice candle. PLEASE, and now, so the house will smell like fall.

And, of course, your on-the-spot friend Jackie not only has a Pumpkin Spice, but a lovely gift bag and tissue paper, 2 complimentary votives in Carmel Apple and Spiced Cranberry to try and enjoy and offer feedback on.

AND, SHE HAND DELIVERS IT. YES, SHE MAKES CANDLE HOUSE CALLS.

And, I must ask, "DID YOUR Y-BRAND REPRESENTATIVE DO ALL OF THAT?"

So, long story short, do you think Susan will EVER buy another brand of candle?

I had pretty much the same thing happen as Jackie. A girl I work with has been burning Mia Bella's for a while (orders one every two weeks or so). She got a Y brand for Christmas and felt obligated to burn it. She came in the office and told me she couldn't smell it. She said she will never burn anything but Mia Bella because she smells them all through the house.

Does anyone know what the rules are for Yankee Candle Distributor reps? I have a couple local mom and pop stores that have these, but I didn't know if they have rules on having other candles in the store or not. Anyone know??

We have a local candle store that carries just about every brnad you can think of, including Yankee. (And no Mia Bella!) That's for ME! Ha! I don't believe they have any restrictions!
