Hi everyone,
I have a new client and one of the requirements for the website is a flash presentation on the home page. I've never had to use flash in all my years designing so have nevered looked into learning about it.
Figures my lynda.com subscription expired this past week and I don't have the funds to renew it right now.
Does anyone know of a free training source for flash? I don't need to do anything crazy just some images and text.
Thanks for your help.

Here's a "Flash in a Flash" tutorial from a guy at Adobe. I haven't watched his videos yet, but it looks like it should get you started. Otherwise, I would suggest looking on YouTube.
I just recently got some books to learn Flash, but too much stuff to do first. I'd like to see your presentation when you get it done!
buena suerte :)

Hi,
I reviewed the Flash in a Flash and it was pretty good but it didn't cover anything I was looking for within the first hour.
I've made my first flash for my own site, still needs to slow down a bit but I'm still looking for a good training for the main project.
Thanks Teresa - I will keep you in my list of contacts :).
Have a great day.

Angela,
Sorry it wasn't more help... Your site looks great! :)
I am wanting to start learning Flash too, so if I come across anything that I actually watch/follow and think it really helps - I'll pass it along!
Thanks,
Kayla

Thanks Kayla and I will do the same.
The training was terrible, I just wanted to do an easy fade in and out of images (they just want something simple) and he talked about everything but that lol.
If I find something, I'll post it here as well.
Have a great day.

Hi there. Sorry I'm a bit late in posting.
Putting together some photos that fade in and out is pretty easy/basic Flash so I'm sure you could do it.
One thing that I've found helpful with flash is going to www.flashkit.com and searching their tutorials. They have lots of small tutorials on just doing one thing. I think they have beginner ones as well. Sometimes it takes a bit of searching to find the right keyword to hit the right tutorial. But I have gotten great effects off of there. They usually have downloadable things that you look at their code and a lot of them usually have comments in the code to help you.
Good luck!
