I searched WAHM and didn't find anything about this company, http://www.secretshoppersnet.com
They have an ad on iFreelance for Data Entry @ $10/hr. Their website doesn't make clear whether they reimburse for any expenses. They do state that your choice of assignments will be limited if you don't have a credit card.
The contact given on iFreelance is Pat McBride in Huntington, NY, if that means anything to anyone.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Gina

I don't think it's a mystery shopping company, probably just a GPT site.
From their FAQs
Participating in Secret Shopping Jobs Online.</font></span>
http://www.secretshoppersnet.com/images/q.gif How do I participate in
Secret Shopping Jobs? </span>
http://www.secretshoppersnet.com/images/ans.gif
After registration, members are provided with the list of Secret
Shopping Jobs available. Upon completion of registration, members will
click on the Shopping Jobs they would like to take up and will be led
to the website of company providing that Secret Shopping Job and you
will be asked to sign up the trial offer. Also based on the
information available with us, we send invitations to those members
who, we believe, may qualify to start a job when a client contacts us
with a request for recruiting a new secret shopper.

Yep.. it's not a mystery shopping site. They have the same EXACT layout as two other sites that are claiming to be mystery shopping companies. BTW: NONE of the mystery shopping sites I have ever seen or worked with pay by the hour. That's a big tip off. They all pay per assignment.

I emailed my questions to secretshoppersnet.com. Don't know if I trust their response...
QUESTION:
"Per your FAQ 'Although most the shopping jobs need credit card, there are few Shopping Jobs available which do not need a credit card.' Do you reimburse for any purchases required to complete an assignment? For 'off-line' shops with other companies I have been required to purchase aparticular item and return it or submit a receipt for reimbursement."
RESPONSE:
"Yes, we would actually pre-pay you for those jobs, but the first few jobs
you would be doing are completely free.

I would love to see their response as to why they aren't registered with the mspa.

Absolutely!
I kind of thought it looked more like a GPT site than a mystery shopping site myself. If it were me, I'd leave that one alone.

I think the so called "shopping jobs" are actually paid trial offers - the ones need credit cards are paid offers, the ones don't need credit cards are free offers. It is pretty obvious from their own FAQs.

I would be interested in seeing that response too. BTW ... love your little avie sign smileys/smiley36.gif
I just received a craigslist email from Pat McBride in reference to joining secretshoppers.net. I emailed a different question to each of these addys: CustServ@SecretShoppersNet.com</span> & toonces48@gmail.com to see what (if any) replies I would get. The second addy is supposed to be Pat's ... but we'll see. smileys/smiley2.gif
There was also a number for Pat, 631-865-2114. I made 3 attempts to call her, but got a busy signal the first 2 times, then it just rang and rang w/out an answer the 3rd time. I will try to call again later to see what happens.</span>
If I get any useful info back, I will return and post the update.
