I am hoping that someone can help me out. I am looking to work from home. Im not sure what business I would like to do because I have interests in so many things. I like cosmetics, candles, toys (for my child), etc. I would even consider adult parties. I'm not looking for Avon because I've been there and done that ;) Anyways, is it possible for some of you to pm me details on your business? I am looking on keeping my startup costs under $500. Keeping start-up under $500 shouldn't be difficult. And many businesses offer an opportunity to earn your kit for free.


So narrow down the companies that appeal to your heart. Be sure to find an upline and team that you know will help train you as well. With the right training, you can very far. Just be sure to be coachable.

Are you overwhelmed yet?smileys/smiley2.gif It's sometimes hard when you have an interest in so many things (I do too!) but what I did was look to see how I could take my interests and expand my business over time which led me to my theme party and gift/gourmet food business. All of it ties nicely into the other and it's working.


I would be happy to chat with you about a few companies I represent to see if one or all interest you. For instance, the main company I represent is Our Family Favorites (gift sets and specialty foods) and since I have a gift/food business, I also represent Heavenly Delights, Greeting Cakes, Stuff a Friend, Apple Blossom candles and more! I'm an affiliate for most and do most of my business via the Internet although I am expanding my theme party business to do local b-day workshops and more. Fundraising is a part of my business that I am very interested in and most all the companies I represent have a program to offer, so my next step is a website focusing on just those opportunities.


Anyway, that was probably more than you wanted to knowsmileys/smiley36.gifbut it kind of gives you an example of how you can expand your business over time.


As far as cosmetics (and bath/body items), I love Jafra and joined them only as a personal use consultant. There is a Jafra board here with many helpful active repsso feel free to take a peek to see if that is a company you may like to represent.

Great decision and you are off to a great start in researching your options and desires.


What is important to you in a business? How do you see yourself working a business? What methods? How much available time do you have? What time frames are they? Nights? Weekends? Days?


Do you see yourself doing parties? Craft shows and expos? Working online?


What type of support are you interested in? What are your expectations in a sponsor?


Once you get clear on many of these answers, then begin to review different companies and then begin to interview prospective sponsors.


You want to be sure you make an informed decision that is in YOUR best interest!

1) What methods will I earn income? How much will I get paid and when will I receive my money?


2) How much are the business supplies and do I receive any for free?


3) What is the hostess rewards and who pays for them?


4) Can I accept credit cards and are there any fees to process them?


5) Is it recommended to keep inventory, are there minimums that have to be met every month tokeep my benefits of being a consultant? Do I have toand make deliveries or does the company do it for me?


6) Is it free for me to get support and place orders, do I have to purchase any software or pay processing fees for my sales?


7) Are there any other incentives? Vacations, product credit for recognition at succeeding in my business?
