Anyone checked into this. I applied and got an email for training today. Not sure if that means I got the job or just a generic email. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif

Wow that was quick! Did you email your resume to the craiglist addy or did you apply to the site? I couldn't find a place to apply on the site.

I applied to the Craigslist Addy and got a response back from admin@merriamriver.com I went back and read the email and it said the training is for all "potential" new hires and there are times at 4 and 6 today. They gave me an 800 number to call with a conference code. Don't know but I am going to give a call when the time comes around. See what it is all about.

Just a comment - but I'm in the 4:00 meeting and so surprised at people who attend these conference calls with kids in the background - voices in the background - I even heard a TV. Really annoying.... smileys/smiley22.gif (Mute buttons are great !)

I'm curious to know what happened on the call. Is it over?

jammom3
09-15-2008, 03:22 PM
It is and after the call you got your password to start. It is a political poll that lasts thru next Monday (maybe a couple extra days). You get paid $12.00 / hr for the entire time you are logged on. The poll takes about 15 minutes to do but it is not hard at all. I am hoping that they pay out like they are suppossed to. They said 1 - 2 days after campaign is over. I am going to give it a try. At least it is something.http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif

Sounds cool... I wish it lasted longer and I do hope the pay is legit. I'm hopeful everything will turn out good though.

Looks like whoever is on the call will be starting the same day. I hear the script is a doozy cause it's so long. Just gotta keep remembering it's per hour. Let us know how your calls are and how people are responding. Might help for someone who may be a little intimidated at first.

In the training call he said the script takes about 10-15 minutes to get through on averagehttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley18.gif

I just got off my training call--very informative and thorough.

I would start tonight,but I'm a little tired. So I'll hop on the bandwagon tomorrow! Since this a national campaign, anyone in the 50 states can participate.

The company is legit and are in the same state (CT)I live in, so that gives me some comfort http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif. Of course, the ultimate proof is the paycheck, which you can get in the mail or Direct Deposit.

There is another telephone training session tomorrow (9/17/08) at 12PM, 4PM and 8PM EST, soemail admin@merrimanriver.com (admin@merrimanriver.com) tosee if you can still apply.

As of 7:56AM EST on 9/17/08, the Craigslist ad has been pulled, so I'm not sure if they are still looking for workers.

Also, for anyone that has taken calls...how's it going??Edited by: Ariz

I jumped on after training and my second person to answer agreed to a survey. It was a little long, but he was super nice and I am excited about this position. It is really easy to log in and to access the programs. There was a lag between the survey pages, but other than that......it went really well and I like it! :)

<DIV style="MARGIN: 0px">Hello,
<DIV style="MARGIN: 0px">
<DIV style="MARGIN: 0px">Thanks for your interest in working with Merriman River. We've been in business over 10 years and we hope our new Polling Division is just as successful as our Election Consultant/Management Divisions. Here's a little information on how our system works:
<DIV style="MIN-HEIGHT: 14px; MARGIN: 0px; FONT: 12px Helvetica">

<DIV style="MARGIN: 0px">First, you would be given information about the particular job we're working on. Once you've read the script and are prepared, you would accessour dialer athttp://dialer.merrimanriver.com (http://dialer.merrimanriver.com/)and click on the "Agents" tab on the top menu. Then you would select the job from a list, enter your name and telephone number, and our system calls you. You then enter a password and stay on the line until the system automatically begins to connect you with live people or answering machines. You simply read the script and enter the person's response into your web browser, and then hold music plays until you are connected with the next live caller. The system automatically keep track of the time you are connected, and you are paid for all the time you are on the phone (even time when the system is dialing). You may start and stop working at your convenience, but sometimes there is a gap between jobs. Because of this, many of our callers try to squeeze in as much time as they can while jobs are active. Please note that calls are monitored for quality control. Payroll is done at the end of each job (1 to 2 weeks) and we prefer to use direct deposit, although paper checks can be made available.
<DIV style="MIN-HEIGHT: 14px; MARGIN: 0px; FONT: 12px Helvetica">

Does anyone know when the jobs ends? I thought I heard Mon. but does that mean that you can work *on* Monday through the evening or does it end at 12:01 am Sunday night? I'm unable to get quality time in today and sure would like to have that extra day.
Thanks!!

I found out that it ends approx. at midnight on Mon. Hopefully I can get in a lot of hours before then.Edited by: fatkat555

If you have not had the chance to attend a training session, there are 3 more sessions taking place Thursday the 18th at noon, 4pm, and 8pm (EST).

Please connect to one of these training sessions, and by the time you are finished, you will know everything you need to log into our system and begin working. The dial-in info is: 1-800-444-2801, code 2041473.

Is anyone else having trouble with the system?? I've only done 2 actual surveys (lots of hang-ups and answering machines) and their system is snail-like slow. At this rate I'll be lucky to make the 40 hrs (if that). I keep getting bumped off, too.http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley19.gif

I am wondering how do you fill out and submit the survey? I have done 2 surveys so far and have written the answers down because I don't know how to submit the info. I'm also wondering when are we going to be paid for the project? Will it be next week?
