Hi,
I have been looking into to the MiaBella opp for a few weeks now and even frequent your WAHM board. I am familiar with the comp plan and have even burned one of your candles that I received as a gift. Which is what inspired me to look into the business. I am very interested but have a few concerns that I'd like to address.

1) There's no way I could sell a candle for $18.95 in my area. Is the SRP written in stone or is it really just a "suggested" price.

2) I read a post somewhere that you will be able to retail your candles from your sites in the near future, I'm assuming that means everyone will HAVE to sell the candles for the SRP?

3) Is buying a case at a time the only way you can purchase candles? From what I've read, some people are stuck with inventory when they are forced to purchase this way. (I have a disbailty that prevents me from getting out much)

In addition to my questions, I understand that it's important to find a good sponsor to work with. I'd like to know what makes YOU the best. How will I benefit by being on YOUR team.

Thanks in advance for all your replies.

Brenda

Hi Brenda,

You've made a good choice in checking out the opportunity with Mia Bella Candles. It's a company full of integrity and there is huge earning potential.

You can decide to sell your candles for whatever cost you choose. The SRP is not set in stone, and most distributors sell theirs for the price that seems reasonable according to the cost of living in their area.

When the retail sites come out, you may have to sell them online for the SRP, but you can always give special deals to those you sell them to directly in person, if you choose.

Regarding purchasing a case, I have never been "stuck" with a case. Some distributors order once they get an order for a particular number of candles, and then stock a few for inventory for those last minute sales. I have friends and family just want to stop by and purchase a candle or two, so it's nice to have a few on hand anyways.

Let me know if I can answer any additional questions for you. You can email me at kimberly@scentcandlesandmore.com or call me too.

1) There's no way I could sell a candle for $18.95 in my area. Is the SRP written in stone or is it really just a "suggested" price. The price is not set in stone, that price is what comparable companies are selling for or around that price. You are the owner of your biz, so you get to decide. There are many that sell at a lower or higher price depending on location.

2) I read a post somewhere that you will be able to retail your candles from your sites in the near future, I'm assuming that means everyone will HAVE to sell the candles for the SRP? I am not positive yet how that is going to work, but they would still be able to order from you without going to your site for your price.

3) Is buying a case at a time the only way you can purchase candles? From what I've read, some people are stuck with inventory when they are forced to purchase this way. (I have a disbailty that prevents me from getting out much) As of right now, yes you are correct, a case is 12 candles, and just make it a goal to sell 6 or 7 to pay for you case then you can have some inventory left for later.

In addition to my questions, I understand that it's important to find a good sponsor to work with. I'd like to know what makes YOU the best. How will I benefit by being on YOUR team. You are making a very important decision. You need to talk to several people and see who you click with. As far as my team, I am almost available online at all times, you can call me via home phone or cell phone anytime and I will return you call within a few hours if I happen to miss it. I talk on a daily basis with my team members and touchbase to see what THEIR plans are, what their short term and long term goals are. I want them to succeed, they succeed I succeed. As you know most teams have group boards, team calls and plus we have the company boards etc to assist with any questions you may have. I am about selling and teaching others to sell our great candles. I have 10 yrs in retail sales and 5 yrs of mgt exp, so I truly feel that I am a leader. I chose this business to succeed in sales and in team building not one or the other. I will be glad to answer any questions, send you a votive and biz opp cd at anytime. Just let me know.

Thanks in advance for all your replies.

I also wanted to welcome you to wahm as I see you are new. This is a wonderful community of ladies and gents. You will not be dissappointed joining Mia Bella. Theres so many other ways to sell candles besides home parties. Online and thru online parties. I have done pretty well with my online parties and they are fun!

Goodluck and if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask. ;)

Brenda,

Welcome to the board and congrats on exploring your options.

In answer to your questions -

1) There's no way I could sell a candle for $18.95 in my area. Is the SRP written in stone or is it really just a "suggested" price.

--It is not set in stone and what I would suggest is go out on a marketing trip in your local area. Check out candle shops and gift/specialty shops and find out what lines they carry and what their pricing is. You might be surprised and find that you CAN in fact get $18.95. It's kind of like sports cars - there is someone SOMEWHERE that can afford that sticker price for the car. That's who are target market it.

2) I read a post somewhere that you will be able to retail your candles from your sites in the near future, I'm assuming that means everyone will HAVE to sell the candles for the SRP?

--We won't be selling them from a personal site, but will be retailing them from the company site. At that time, yes, anyone ordering off of a company site will pay the $18.95 Suggested retail price. That's the only way they could set it up. But, for your on sales offline, you'll still be able to set the price yourself, and this is actually a selling feature as you can show a "discount."

3) Is buying a case at a time the only way you can purchase candles? From what I've read, some people are stuck with inventory when they are forced to purchase this way. (I have a disbailty that prevents me from getting out much)

--I actually retail a lot of candles and drop ship them, so I never consider myself "stuck with inventory." My friends and neighbors know they can drop by and pick up candles anytime, and so they do. Especially around the holidays.

In addition to my questions, I understand that it's important to find a good sponsor to work with. I'd like to know what makes YOU the best. How will I benefit by being on YOUR team.

--My question first for you would be - what is important to you in a business and a sponsor? Decide on your criteria first and then you'll have something to refer to in interviewing potential sponsors. Also, decide what methods you want to use in building the business.

We have 3 distinctive ways of earning money. Most people ultimately focus on one, with another as secondary. I personally focus on team building and using the Internet to do this. I don't like to leave my home much in building my business.

So, someone looking for a strong retail/party oriented sponsor would probably not be best suited with me. It's really about you and what YOU are looking for.

Get your questions answered and make a decision you are solid with.

Listen to the recorded call on comp plans and why Mia Bella is RIGHT for the marketplace and what our future holds.

Thank you for your responses. Jackie,I do know what I'm looking for in a sponsor, that's why I asked "what makes YOU and YOUR team" the best. I'll know by the responses I get if they may be someone I'm interested in talking to further. Being new in the business, I'll need to know howI can benefit from that person and their team. I don't want to be just a position in someone's downline.

Hi Brenda,

I am excited about your interest in our fabulous company. All of your question have been answered but I just wanted to jump in here and second what Jackie has said. I have learned that what is prospective business partners should look for when looking for a sponsor is someone that has the same goals, ethics, dreams for life as well as business. I can not say how important it is to be with someone that will be your friend as well as your business partner.

It sound as if you have already done alot of work in researching this business. Now take the time to contact those people that you felt provided you with the information that you needed when you were reading these post. Have them call you. Sit and chat! You will surely find your match!

I wish you the best of luck!

Many Blessings,

Natalie

Hi Brenda, I see most of your questions were answered quite beautifully above. Would you mind if I sent you a PM? I don't feel this is an appropriate area for team discussions, but would love to talk with you about my team. Just let me know and I will send the PM.

Brenda,

I had looked at Mia Bella for a very long time. I finally decided last week to join. Can we all say ADDICT? I think we can. I LOVE my sponsor, LOVE the candles, and I am already having a blast. I have a team of three Members already! You are going to love this business. If you love Candles you have nothing to loose! I have been in Direct Sales and Party Plan for a few years, and nothing like this has ever happened to me, with relationships etc.smileys/smiley32.gif

As for a sponsor, you want to look for a partner! Not someone that is "above" you. We are all equal here, all started out the same way. It is great to look up at someone, but you dont want them looking down at you. smileys/smiley2.gif

Seems here all your questions were answered, and you know what you want. I think this is a great business for someone that can't get out that much. You can work online, work on building a team only, or do the retail sales.

Congrats on doing your homework, it really pays off!

Good Luck on your decision and on your Mia Bella Business. You are going to LOVE it!
