Although I am not new to direct sales, I am new to doing it absolutely my way. Usually this kind of stuff is already spelled out in b&w. I am just trying to get myself prepared. Dont know if I will do parties or not, but for those of you who do can you tell us what kind of hostess incentives you offer. I appreciate any suggestions/help you can offer.

HI Kim,
I am offering my hostesses a small relax with wax basket for holding the party, then I give them 1 16oz jar for every 100 in sales...plus I take 15% of the party total and give them that discount on their personal purchases.
Theres lot of others I am sure! Goodluck and welcome!!

Thank You Frances. I really feel like this is going to be a good move for me. Debra has been so helpful and has made it easy for me to make the decision to climb aboard. As soon as paperwork gets here I plan on going full steam ahead.

YAY! KIM! You can do it girly! Debra is awesome, and you are going to do very well. I know some where I read, its possibly in the back office that for like 10 jars sold 1 free, 1 at cost...20 sold 2 free 2 at cost or something of that sort. You have to see what works best for you!
I like to give a small thank you for holding the party, as we know sometimes they are kind of hard to get!
Goodluck and remember if you have any questions we are all here to help!

Welcome to the board Kim! smileys/smiley32.gif I am glad you found us! You are going to do fantastic, and it is so much fun!
Kim is such a sweet person everyone! smileys/smiley1.gif
I do something similar to Frances with the percentages for the home parties and for book parties - they mainly sell the candles so I say they can choose between that plan or get 2 16 oz for every ten sold. This way it keeps the candles in case numbers and it is easier to have it drop shipped to their house.

HI KIM!
WELCOME to our great Mia Bella Family!
Isn't it fun to have the freedom to build your new business any way that
you want to?! Once you get used to the idea, you'll be surprised with all
of the possibilites that you come up with!
Frances- I LOVE the relax with wax basket for your hostesses. Do you
include a bella bar, or a body wash/sample? That is really a great idea. I
think I remember you posting in the party plan board when you were
thinking about starting the home parties a month or two ago- sounds like
they are going well for you! smileys/smiley32.gif
If I decide to do parties with Mia Bella, I am going to use a fun ice breaker
that I use when I do tea tastings. Have each guest look through the
names of all of our scents while they are waiting for the party to begin,
and tell them to choose one that begins with the first letter of their name,
AND one that is a favorite scent. Then have everyone go around and
introduce themselves by saying their names and telling which 2 scents
they chose. It's a fun way to get everyone's name and to have guests
focusing on the HUGE selection of fragrances we offer right from the
start.
Kim- be sure to check the files in our back office and also check with your
team leaders to see what has already been designed and available to you
for home parties. The great thing about our business is that we have
such strong support from our teams and can benefit from what others
have done successfully, without having to "reinvent the wheel"! Of
course, you'll get great ideas and suggestions from the gals here, too.
I look forward to hearing your success stories as you grow your new
business, Kim! Keep posting.smileys/smiley2.gif

Hi Kitt,
The mini relax with wax this is what I generally put in it, I got these cute gift boxes from dollar tree at xmas time...I put in a small bath scrubby sponge, a body wash sample, a votive/holder usually french lavender, and I put in a sample baggie with about 6 bath beads in them...and a relaxation music cd. Not all expensive to make and its something cute. I make larger relax with wax for sale and add a jar rather than a votive, plus the cd, bath beads, a large sponge, a manicure/pedicure wand or face mask, or bath pillow or something similar to that.
Goodluck everyone!!!! Lets make it a successful year!
