I have written and published four books. I know marketng can be a challenge. your book will sell only the amount of energy as you put in it to market it. There are many ways to market it. One of the ways is to build you a website with the option to buy it right there. Send it to all the people you know and ask them to send it to all the people they know and so forth. Putting ads on here is a great idea, on different websites, many which are free. These are just a few ideas, feel free to write me anytime. My personal email is kaiser.cathy@yahoo.com .

If you try and sell your Ebook on Ebay, you have to sell it as a "classified ad" unless you plan to send a CD to anyone who wants to buy it. I don't really understand why they do that, since just sending a downloadable file saves time and money. If you don't want to physically send a CD in the mail, you can only advertise your product and provide contact information on how to buy it. They won't even allow you to have a link to your own website in your "classified ad" because they don't want transactions happening off site of Ebay. So Ebay is pretty much a waste of time for selling an Ebook, unless you want to burn CDs and ship them.
Another option would be to create your own site and use Paypal (or another similar service) to have a shopping cart that allows customers to buy your book then download it. The only problem is getting traffic to your website. Google Adwords is probably one of the best programs for directing traffic to your site--but that will cost you up to $1.00 per click (anytime someone clicks on your ad that Google advertises for you). Google recommends you have a minimum budget of $50 per month. So, if you're fairly confident that people will buy your book once they reach your site, then Adwords is a good way to go.
I put together an Eguide for people who want links to companies who hire work from home employees. I am using this as sort of a "test" for other Ebooks I have in the works. I'm just using a blogspot site (because you can have as many as you want free). You can see the format at http://workfromhomecompanies.blogspot.com/ (and I'm using Paypal for the payment). This is the first time I've tried Google Adwords, but I've had quite a bit of traffic to the site (which also means I'm paying for every click!). Anyway, I'm still experimenting, but hopefully this helps a little.

A friend of mine wrote an ebook and we used paydotcom.com It was nice because as long as you are willing to pay a decent commission and set up the marketing tools you can get quite a few affiliates out marketing for you.
