Hi and good morning to everyone.
I just wanted to say that I grated down the votives which took less than five minutes. It came out so fine and soft and the smell was everywhere. I had sooo much to fill tons of baggies. This really is a great way to market your business by attaching them to postcards and doorhangers.
this business is AWESOME !!

What kind of baggies do you put them in. Snack baggies or do you buy smaller special baggies. I plan on grating mine too. smileys/smiley2.gif

I use 2 x 2 baggies and I get them from Ebay. Just look up 2 x 2 ziplock.
Also use an electric chopper for your votives, MUCH easier. I use a regualr kitchen chopper, they are around $10.00 or so at Walmart.
Also, I get all my labels from Ebay too. SOOOO much cheaper.
I grind a ton of votives in one night, then put them in those Glad containers and lebl each one as to the scent. I got the Glad containers, again at Wal-mart for about $2.00 for 4 of them.
This way I can make samples as needed. When I do a bunch of samples I have everything right there.

I do the same. Except I use a hammer. Smashes them in seconds andyou get to let off some steam, too! Sometimes I'll let one of my sons do the hammering!

I just use my spare cheese grater! I do the same scent...about 24 votives. Then I wash up the grater and continue with the next scent!

I just LOVE making up scent samples! I attach them to brochures and business cards. I also get the 2x3 size from Wal-Mart. There was a time period when Wal-Mart would be out of that size, so I started picking up a couple packs every time I went. I now have a nice little stockpile smileys/smiley36.gif
That's a great idea about the containers Tracey. I've also been using washed out old Mia Bella jars to put the scent samples in. It's a great way to re-use the jars as well!
