small, but very busy business, has an immediate need for an experienced
communications professional to develop attention-getting, well-written
press releases (of 500 words or less) to highlight certain news. </span>You will also need to distribute the releases for the business.</span> The list of outlets will be provided to you. </span> This position will be part-time and on an as-needed basis. </span>The person in this role will be focused on writing press releases that pertain to the business instead of client accounts. </span> The
ideal candidate for this part-time opportunity has a degree in
Journalism, PR, English, Mass Communications or some other related
discipline. </span> This
person should also be a very good writer, meticulous about grammar,
spelling, and highly proficient in writing materials that adhere to the
AP style guide. </span>You
should also have good interviewing skills to gather the information
you’ll need to write the release within a reasonable turnaround time
that includes a review and sign-off by the appropriate people. </span> Lastly,
the ideal candidate should have at least one or two samples they can
provide to show proof of their experience and be available during
normal business hours (at least one or two days a week OR during a 4
hour window on a weekday) to write and distribute the releases. </span>THIS IS IDEAL FOR A COLLEGE STUDENT OR INDIVIDUAL THAT NEEDS OCCASIONAL WORK. NO PR FIRMS.</span></span>
