Anyone know much about this party plan called LinenWorld.....? They seem to have been in business for a long time, and have an established reputation. Anyone ever been to a party or know much about them ?

Gosh, if they are still in business, that is amazing. They were around when I was in college (20+ years ago). Didn't know they were still around. Sorry I'm not much help. Your post was just a memory-jerker. Did you google them to see if they are around, or if you can find a company website?

Edited to add: Try this site: www.linenworld.com (http://www.linenworld.com) . They've been around since 1979.Edited by: thatspagirl

They are still around. I have 2 reps in my town and was just at a party a while back! What would you like to know about them?

How well do the reps do - did they sell a substantial amount at the party you went to ? How well received were the products, quality etc. ? Do you know if the local reps in your area are making some good $$$$ ??

Any info you can provide is appreciated - I have been looking at the company for awhile and I am on the fence about them.

Thankyou !

I'm not sure honestly about how well they do around here. I have really been happy with my products, as a customer. Great quality. I would suggest calling the home office if you haven't done that yet. i know one of the reps mentioned that they have really great rep serivces and support.

Back in 2004, I had requested more information about Linen World myself. I was truly impressed with the service I received! I submitted my information request online, and I received a phone call from the company's president, Michael Chavanne, the very next day. I was quite impressed!! Materials were sent to me, as promised, and they were all very high quality and professional.

They do have a very nice program in place, in my opinion--

Free starter kit option

Free supplies such as catalogs, order forms, invitations, hostess packets, and more! If my memory serves me correctly, after each show you submit, materials are mailed out to you to replace what you used at that party, and like I said, they are FREE!!

Free website

Quality Hostess Program

They also have an interesting management program that pays team overrides based on the number of the shows you do, as well as your team, rather than based on retail cost of the shows. In other words, the more shows you do as a manager, the higher your override will be on each of your team's shows.....up to $30 per show.

The only thing that held me back was I hesitant about the product line--as my love is candles, so I wasn'tgetting the whole "love my products" feeling. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

Thanks, Jessica, about your post regarding the quality, too, as I also wondered the same..........there aren't any Linen World reps around me, so I had never been to a show.

FREE, FREE, FREE, IF it's free to join a program then why should anyone even bother being a customer when they could just join andget it for less price. I always felt you should at least pay something to be able to sell, otherwise wouldn't you feel like yourr customer might as well buy direct since it costs nothing.

Sorry I posted twice... My favorite has been my sheets. I LOVE them, they are super soft and have stood up beautifly in the wash! I will definately order from them the next time I need something.
One thing that I would consider though is with something like linen, you have to strike while the iron is hot so to speak. People aren't ALWAYS in the market, and once they do purchase, they may not need anyting for quite a while. That might be sort of tough. There again, I'm nota rep, so I don't know...Edited by: jessicaj

So how does this company compare to Private Quarters? I was looking at PQ before I decided to go with Jockey P2P. I was just wondering if one was better than the other.

Looks like LinenWorld offer a lot of free stuff !! They certainly look like they have an outstanding reputation - seems like they have been around forever !! Always a good indication that reps are happy with their overall service, performance etc.

Any other recommendations or comments about LinenWorld are welcome !!

Linen World is Freeto join on certain conditions:you mustpay the $29.95shipping PLUSyou have to have $250 in net salesin your first 30 days. You won't earn commission on the $250 because it is basically paying for the starter kit. If you don't, then you can either return the kit or purchase it for $99.

Linen World is just making it easy to start your business with no real upfront investment! But you can purchase the kit and start earning the commission immediately!

They are a wonderful company. I had a friend who sold for them and I too love their sheets. Excellent quality!

I am a former Linen World consultant who left 2 years ago to return to work full time and actually just signed my agreement to become a consultant for them again...YESTERDAY. Thought I would check in here and see what was new and saw teh Linen World post.
Its a great company-not oversaturated by any means with good quality, affordable products that people seem to really like. I spoke yesterday with Michael the owner and remembered why I enjoyed the company so much...great customer service and "truly" a family owned company. I re-joined on the spot!

If you would like more info-PM me-I'd gladly fill you in on anything that hasn't already been mentioned.

I should also tell you that I have sold for 4 different DS companies and this is the only one that I ever truly made any decent, consistent money with and booking were not hard to get due to the phenomenal hostess program...oh yeah, your catalogs and supplies are free and replenished as you turn in shows....the money you make is truly YOUR money.

Good Luck!
