with getting paid only once a month? i just found out this aspect. i was sure i was going to go with JE, till i heard this. i love the basis of the company, the products look great... this pay thing is my only (well, my biggest of 2 or 3) obstacles/issues.

It doesn't bother me at all. The Commission is based ona sliding pay scale, to where you can earn 25-35%. It is probably easier for them to figure out what you would earn by the last day of a Month from the sales you turn in for that Month. (themore you sell, the more you earn)

thanks for replying. i am really having a hard time deciding what to do. the more input i get the better.
do you give out a lot of catalogs? samples? do you do a lot of parties monthly?
that's my thing... i put a lot of money back into my business, so i don't know that once a month would work out for me. interested how it works out for others.

I only give out Catalogs and Samples to those who request it. I use to mail out new Catalogs every time they would come out, but I do not do that anymore. To show my appreciation instead to new or repeat customers when they order, I will send them a current Catalog and free gift. Now we have anOnline Catalog available too that we can share and I think that is awesome!
I do parties every so often, but mainly how I work my business is through word of mouth, advertising, and selling one on one. Monday nights are call-ins for new consultants or those who are interested in joining. They are with Nancy, the owner of the Company. I would ask the Rep you are working with for the information to call in. You can ask any questions or state your concerns you may have on the call.
Good luck in your decision!

Nancy,
This post is from awhile ago...have you decided and/or joined our family yet?
Getting paid once a month was a bit of an obstacle for me as well when I joined. I quickly got past that! Getting a check once a month really packs a punch on what you've accomplished over the course of 30 days!
Feel free to PM or email me about your other obstacles/struggles you're having with choosing JE. I do know sometimes it's reassuring to talk to someone who isn't going to be your sponsor about the things you're concerned about.
I've been with JE since late October of last year. I've accomplished a lot more than I ever intended I would.

This is an old post, but I will give my 2 cents. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif
If you get paid the night of the party/show, it is so easy to piddle the money away.
With a monthly check, it is better, IMHO. The first month is harder, but then you get those checks coming and it is really nice. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif
