Hi, I am fairly new to Arbonne and am trying to find out all I can about it. I have been told and have also read on different Arbonne consultant websites that Reggie Wells, Oprah's make up artist only uses Arbonne. I did a search on this on Oprah's website and can find nothing that confirms that. In fact there was a show that Reggie Wells did about make up and there was a link that said"see inside Reggies make up bag" so I clicked on it and Arbonne was not listed at all as a product he uses. He had several other products listed though. Before I start telling people that Arbonne is used by Oprah, I would like to have something to back it up. Can anyone tell me where this information is coming from and do you have something I can print out so that if I am questioned about it, I will have proof? Sorry for the long post smileys/smiley5.gif Thanks!!!! By the way, I love Arbonne and thing their products are awesome!!!!

Just my opinion, but I wouldn't quote anything you have heard about so and so using arbonne, unless you hear it directly from them. Different things have been said about Arbonne and Oprah, arbonne and Dr. Phil's wife and niece, etc. but until I actually seeOprah give Arbonne out to her audience on her "Favorite Things" show, I will not tell my potential clients the "who's who" of arbonne. I would just stick to your experience with the products and let the client try it for themselves. They will most likely love it and use it even w/o Oprah's stamp of approval.smileys/smiley2.gifLike you said, the products are awesome and that is enough! Best of luck with your business!

Well said Barbara. I would never say someone uses this or that until I saw it for myself. On Oprah's favorite things show for 2005 she gave out a skin care product called "Hope in a Jar" by Philosophy and said that is what she uses and when people ask her how she gets her skin to look the way it does she credits it to Philosophy. So until she says that about Arbonne straight from her mouth I wouldn't put her name on my product. It would be nice though, think of the interest thatwould rise, I know when she mentioned Philosophy I checked out their website just to see what she was talking about smileys/smiley36.gifI am such an Oprah lover!!! But I love Arbonne and use it faithfully so for now no Philosophy for me even if Oprah said so.

I agree. I did see something about Courtney Cox loving Arbonne products. I heard it was with MODE magazine, I am checking on it.

Who is Reggie Wells?
JMO, but it annoys me when consultants make celebrity claims. Most of them are false, anyway. Information that started out as a rumor and quickly became "fact".... which makes the company look bad!
Arbonne products are good! They should be sold on their own merits</span>.

Thea's website has it.
I understand that you may get annoyed with the claims, but some people do not. I had people more interested in the product after they hears a celebrity has liked it. Sometimes that can get your foot in the door and the products will be sold on their own merits after that. I do not know anyone who would continue to buy a product that does not show results.

Thanks for the info about Courtney Cox. Some people put a lot of stock in what the stars use so I wanted to make sure before I started telling clients about Oprah. I definitely don't want to be lying to people just to get their businessso that's why Idecided to post on this board to see if anyone knew about it so I could back up the statements.Personally, I could care less if a star uses it or not, I like Arbonne because it's a good product.
So is the bat poop/guano claim in the mascara not true either?????

I haven't been able to find any concrete evidence to back that one up. I would also stay away from "scrare tactics" as some arbonne reps are giving the whole company a bad reputation for this. Things like the bat poop, and other products cause cancer are just rediculous and not necessary. I think as consultants we should take the high road and stick to the information that Arbonne gives us directly from the website and training tools. I am sure there are NVPs and RVPs talking about bat poop, but it doesn't make it true. So again, I would just give information that you receive from Arbonne directly.

Barbara,
The reggie wells thing and the bat poop thing are the main things I couldn't find any info about. I got those from Arbonne consultant websites. I'm glad to know what's true and what isn't and I'm going to follow your advice and just listen to the learn and burns and study the product knowledge and go from there. I appreciate all your help and advice!!!! smileys/smiley1.gifEdited by: abblukbec3

Paige Davis from Trading Spaces uses Arbonne. It was in a recent article in the Chicago Tribune.

Just doing a little research on the web, guanine is a derivative from bat and bird guano and fish scales that is used in mascara, eye shadow and shampoos for that pearly effect. Just google bat guano mascara. I saw the info on a couple of pages, one being the MadSci.org page. Take web results for what they're worth.

I am a little confused...about this bat poop thing. Are you all saying that it is in our (arbonne's) mascara? Because if you are saying that, it is NOT true. All you need to do is look at the product knowledge on the arbonne website. All the ingredients for every product are listed there. I copied and pasted below the ingredients for the mascara.
And, if guanine is a dreivative from bad and bird poop, etc.then I do not believe that Arbonne would be holding the Vegan certification because those items would be a by-product from animals.
Of course, if I misunderstood any of the posts then please disregard this response!

Arbonne's products do not have any animal products. That would also include guano.

I should have been more clear - I haven't been able to find any concrete evidence of specific mascaras w/ gauno in it. I didn't want to go around saying this at parties, and then be questioned "does my mascara have it?" And my only reply could be, well I am not sure which ones do, but I heard that its there. Not very professional or convincing. So again, I say stick to the facts we know that are given to us by arbonne directly and personal testimonies. You can't go wrong that way.
