As I'm writing this, I'm mad as anything......
Last Wednesday, I dropped off an RE9 set with a salon. When I dropped it off, I told them I'd be back within a week to pick it up. The plan was to let the owner and her 1 employee try it.
Pick up was supposed to be yesterday but when I called, they were busy and said they couldn't see me. Plus, the owner confessed she hadn't tried the product and the employee (who had the RE9 in her possession) had left it at home. I told them it was fine but I needed to get the RE9 back for a drop-off I'm doing Friday morning.
The employee told me she'd bring the set to work today (Thursday) but when I called her, she said she forgot. She promised to drop it off at my house this evening (I literally live 2-3 minutes away!) but she didn't. She won't give me her phone number so I have no way of reaching her at home. I don't have her last name and I don't know where she lives. And now, I don't have my RE9!!!!!!!!!!!
Any thoughts in terms of how I can wrestle my RE9 away from her??????????

Maybe you will have to go into her work tomorrow a little before lunch. If she forgot it, just say, "that's fine. I'll wait til your lunch break and follow you home and you can give it to me then."
Maybe that would work? Sorry about that. I can't stand to be without an RE9 set!smileys/smiley4.gif

I know, what a drag!!! This has never happened to me. I'm not quite sure what the lesson learned it, but I'm sure it's something!!!!!
She lives a good 1/2 hour away from home and claims she's NEVER home. We'll see.
I want to kick her butt. Sorry, but I just need to vent!!!! I really shouldn't complain because I signed on two people today. But I'm still mad!!!
Thanks for listening everyone.

This is one reason our Nation got away from using the sets. We only use sample packs now. The other reason of course was contamination issues.

Well, that's the lesson learned. I think for folks I don't know well, they'll be getting JUST the samples from now on!
I've been doing the sets with no problem until today but I guess nothing's perfect!

Another option:
Send her a bill for the RE9 set. Tell her if the RE9 is not returned to you by x, she must pay for the product.
I have heard that works pretty well! smileys/smiley36.gifEdited by: cindi8d

I agree with sending her the bill. Although no one likes to give up the set ( I am out, I am Jonesin' for one right now! smileys/smiley2.gif), she should not expect to keep it forever.

Since she lives so close by, cna you go get it from her at home when she gets home from work? I know it stinks!
I also do the sample packs for this reason. I think they are effectivewith salons as long as you follow up.

I have heard aboutpeople having problems when it comes to salons and getting product back. I guess salons are always given free product to keep and try that they don't understand, or care, about the urgency of you getting your set back since this is a business builder to you!
As far as what to do now, well I would call again and say I WILL be by tomorrow at this time to pick it up. Explain that you consider the set a business partner and you have other clients waiting on it. If you are kind but firm, it should get the message across. If she still doesn't bring it, that is just incredibly rude and I would insist on you picking it up from her home. Maybe showing up before lunchtime isn't such a bad idea! Good luck and let us know if you get it back!

Thanks for all the words of encouragement.
As you can all imagine, I was pretty mad. I had been very direct with herand it seemed like I was getting nowhere. I even told them I had to drop it off with someone this morning (Friday) and that this was my business, much like theirs is to them.
Anway, propelled by my anger, Idecided to do a little research this morning. I had a general idea of where she lived so I literally went door to door until I figured out which house it was.
I then called her at work and she claimed she never even came home last night (whatever, I thought to myself).Shesaid she'd call home totell hermom where to find it (apparentlyit'd be on her dining room table) so that I could go pick it up. This woman is in her40's but rudeness has no age limit, I suppose.
Well, this afternoon rolled around and shedidn't call so Iwentto her house. Her momanswered the door and I told her who I was.I told herI was there to pick upsomething, told her what it was and where to find it. She found it and now it's back in my possession. WHEW!!!!!!!
