Data Entry/Research Specialist
The Opportunity:
This position offers you the opportunity to enjoy the flexibility afforded by working from home and provides you with a high degree of autonomy over your hours and work schedule. Work 30-40 hours during standard business or opt to work early evenings and weekend hours. In addition, you will gain experience working with state-of-the-art web-applications employed by major pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. Our team will provide you with the necessary training to ensure success in this position and the opportunity for growth and advancement
The Requirements:
To be successful in this position, the candidate will need to possess excellent general computer and typing skills and an excellent working knowledge of the following applications: Internet Explorer v5-6, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Candidate must be able to quickly and efficiently use these applications. Candidate should be comfortable upgrading existing computer system if necessary (increased memory, dual monitor support) Candidate must have access to an "always on" broadband internet connection (DSL, Cable Modem, Ethernet) and standard home office equipment.
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of the medical, research, healthcare, pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industries and able to conduct medically oriented online research and analysis as appropriate. Prior or current work experience as an internet researcher, medical assistance, medical transcriber, reference librarian or RN/LPN is preferred. Of course, prior experience with data entry is a plus. Candidate should be highly self-motivated and extremely detail oriented. The ability to work under the constraints of a deadline and the ability to communicate effectively with geographically dispersed team members is extremely important.
Candidate is required to type at least 40 words per minute. Candidate must also be a United States citizen or currently eligible to work in the United States. Starting pay is $10/hr. with potential cash-bonuses. For consideration you must submit a resume with your application.
