Hi, I am a distributer for Mia Bella and wanted to ask some questions. Ive been doing this for a few months now. Only selling to friends and coworkers. I would like to put them in a nail salon or hair salon. can someone give me some ideas as how you would do this ? I also want to know how do you determine which team your on ?
thanks.

Hi Christina! :) As for the salon you could buy some space and sell your candles and receive your money each week, or you could sell the candles say for 14.95 to the salon owner and let them sell at 18.95 and keep the profit on that as they have already paid you.
Your team depends on your sponsor. So whoever is your sponsor is your team, I am on my sponsors team and then I have a team for my downline.
I hope that helps some.

Hi Christina!
Who is your Sponsor? He or She will be the best source for learning more
about your team. If you are unsure, you can find out by looking at your
report in your back office.
Retailing in a salon is a wonderful idea, and there are many options. Have
you contacted any salons or do you have connections with any owners? I
would start by telephoning prospects. Ask to speak with the manager,
and give him/her a brief introduction. Then ask if when would be a good
time for you to drop by to deliver a free sample candle and some more
detailed information for him/her to review.
Most people won't say no to a free sample! Be sure to bring along a
votive in a votive holder, a brochure, business presentation
CD and your business card.
When you have a list of places to deliver samples, make your rounds! You
have several options:
-Sponsor the salon as a COTM or Associate member
-Consignment
-Your weekly candle drawing registration (sign up sheet) with a sample
jar candle. Offer the salon credit toward purchases for each order
generated from their store.
If people are hesitant to carry the products, suggest the drawing to test
market.
Feel free to PM or email me if you have more questions, and GOOD LUCK!
Be sure to let us know how this new venture progresses for you!

Hi Christina,
I would personally attempt to sponsor them as a distributor before doing
consignment. Also, rather than rent space (which could turn into a
financial loss for you) why not offer to give them a % of the profit, so you
will not lose money? If they begin to sell really well, you can say,
You know, OWNER, this is a great place to market these candles, and I
love splitting profits with you. BUT, did you know you could earn as
much as 100% profit if you decide to become a distributor yourself?
Best of luck,
--Kitt

I just started doing this. I have my candles on consignment at the beautyshop and the florist. I set up a contract and give them a percentage of the sale. I just started rightbefore the holidaysand I plan on contacting more. So far they have sold about half a case for me in just a couple of weeks. Just think if I had 10 stores smileys/smiley1.gif- it would be a few hundred in commissions!
For me, it just came up in conversation that I sold candles and each person offered before I had the chance to ask smileys/smiley2.gif. If you want to do consignment, tell them about your candles and simply ask them if you could set a few out - make sure they know that you are going to give a percentage. Then once they see how well they sell, then you can sign them up. Edited by: lovethiscandle

I started out with $2 per candle - an easy number and this way an Associate or Candle Club looks so much more attractive. They really wanted to try it out first so this worked out fine for both.
I have one store still considering the COTM or Associate, but cannotconsign because they are in another state. I am still working on this one smileys/smiley2.gif

Oh just ask all the questions you need to thats why we are here. :)
I advertise online in my siggy, on the ad boards, I am on tons of moms boards and just joined a moms meetup group. These are all great networking opportunities. What I did was offer to send a brochure and a free sample scent to the groups, they just entered the contest and then I sent the info..I have gotten a sign up and several customers from it. I do not use google or any of that stuff, I find I do better when I am the one advertising rather than someone else.
Just remember to always pass out brochures, or biz cards with sample scents on them. Ask if they burn scented candles, they say yes hand them the items. There are alot of options and I am sure you will get more great info from other ladies on board.
As for your sponsor email him and ask for your upline's name and email and you can always find out from corporate I am sure.

Christina, PM if you like, I have a conisgnment contract all set up you can modify with your info!!
Most businesses WILL do the consignment thing beucase it is NO LOSS or COST for them to incorporate.
Once they see how people love and buy them, then at that point you can discuss their options.
The contract i have says that at the end of 30 days or however long you choose, they have 3 options.
1. Continue consigning (and make a smaller profit)
2. Join as a COTM for the best profit
3. Cancel all together.
HTH!!!! smileys/smiley2.gif

I resent it to your work addy.
I send them to leads that i purchase. If you are on Jackie Ulmers team, she has a lead co-op, otherwise, you can purchase leads online. I also send them to people who enter my drawing that check that they are interested in the biz.
I will email you my cd cover ina while. I am heading out now. But it is the background of one of our candles with my info on it.
Have a good day!! smileys/smiley2.gif

The CD is fabulous! I just ordered when they made the "new" CD - but they don't have the download anymore - they are all sent out on master disks. (I had asked while I was waiting for mine)
