I am looking for sugestions about what type of content to include in a new team website.
I want to have team cotests and set goals for our team.
What other things do you like to see on a team website?

Are you creating a site from scratch, or using a Yahoo group or something?

Is it something that is public, or members only? Just curious.

I know a lot of teams that use the yahoo groups. They have a files section that people can upload documents related to their business. Kind of handy, instead the leader e-mailing stuff out all the time.

I'd want to see recognition, a place for goal setting, contests, sales tips, recruiting tips....maybe a tip of the month. You could also highlight a team member each month, kind of a "get to know you" little article.

Just my 2 cents.

Hey Jessica,

I will send you a PM with my team web site link. I am with a totally different company, but you can get a feeling forwhat kind of content youmight wantto include onyour own teamweb site.

I did not want to put the link here because I tried that once in another discussion thread on this forum to get people's opinionsand people thought I was advertising (and complained) when I clearly wasn't http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif.

I have a couple diffferent things, one is a Teamburst site: http://www.teamburst.com I use that one to list top performers, contest reminders, and to upload archives of our chats and conference calls etc.

Then I have another site which is just a page off of my website where I post articles and handouts on lots of topics, it is more of a resource page for them vs. team support: http://www.funfelt.com/team.html

Then we also have a Yahoogroup and that is more for community building, we have discussions and everyone can post their files or pictures of events etc. there.

When the company website is done I am hoping we can integrate a lot of this into one place on the consultant area since it is a little scattered but I like it all!

Hi Jessica,

I am using a blog for my team (below in my signature). I like the way we can interact with each other on it and just the whole layout, too. Plus, I can also use it as a promotional tool as well, so potential new teammates can get a feel for the training materials, etc. that they'll have access to.

Plus, it's just fun to do! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

Sue - I love your team blog! The only thing I worry about (with mine too) is how duplicatable is it. I always struggle with this since I love technology, which is why I use teamburst and yahoogroups, they are something anyone can do. But I just love how your blog is!!

Does anyone have a teamburst site that I can look at? It looks interesting but it doesn't give any ex. that I could see.

Hi Karen,

Thanks for your compliment on my blog!

I, too, would like to be able to view a teamburst site if anyone is willing. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif
