what have you done so far?

Do you have your supplies and a plan on advertising?

This is my second season and i am in the process of getting all my supplies together

No I do not have my supplies yet. I was trying to make a budget and find a list of the items I will need.

How do you fill your orders? Do you have letter templets where you fill in the blanks or how does that work?

I'm working on finding a business kit. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks

I'm thinking more and more about creating a business kit. I'm not sure I'll be creating letters this year. My daughter is getting older and wiser, so I don' t want to expose her to an accidental letter or something.

if you search on here there is a list of supplies. As for a business kit i search on the internet last year and was able to find some but there are some women on here that also sells kits. I think i bought mine for 4.99 last year. As for the letters i create a few templates each year and use them so they are different.

Caryn, if you are going to sell a kit i would be interested in seeing if there is something different in it that i might want to use. Can you pm me or email me at cathy@mommysclub.com

thanks

I understand, I wouldn't want my kids to come across the letters either.
Not to get personal but about how much money did youspend in processing your letters last year and did you make it all back?

i broke even but i think it is because i started the 1st week in december

i also started my website at the same time so some of my money went to that

I know it is 50/50 on how many make money and those that do not

I would suggest planning out what you want to spend and what type of package you are offering and cost (whether you are offering a package or just a letter) and then decide where you are targeting. Your local community or internet only this should help in starting out what type of sales you need to do to break even or make a profit

This is my second year writing letters and I have already gotten 6 or 7 orders. Last year I had 1 order. I haven't done any advertising yet, so they are either coming through my main website or people have just come across advertising from last year. Either way I'm very excited!

So how did everyone do this year?? I wanted to try the letters this year but with the economy the way it is I was scared to go for it so I'm going to have to wait another year.

I hope everyone did great!!

Also, I was going to stock up on Christmas paper after the holidays but I've been reading that some of you have been printing your own paper. Is that better? Don't you go through a lot of ink that way?? Trying to find the best way to do this next year.Edited by: TXwahmMom
