They are going to switch us all to the Charities??? Scary!!! They also cut back on calling hours. Anybody know whats up??http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif

Work load ebbs and flows and when you get local dial failed all you have to do is keep trying and you will eventually get a line. Don't give up and don't let this keep you from getting in your hours. You WILL be able to get on.

Charity calls are wonderful calls. Quick and easy--not scary as I'm sure you found out.

O yes I did. I actually enjoy them. The people are sooooo nice. Can get a bit winded because you actually reach alot of people but like it. Makes the time go faster. It did take me two hours to get in that day. There was no tech support or I would have phoned. Last time I phoned and was in within 10minutes. Thanks http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

Grams--I think it was just a fluke that when you phoned tech support that you were able to get in in 10 minutes. When I call tech support about the local dial failed I get several answers. Sometimes they tell me there is nothing they can do and other times they tell me to call the production ext 3100. When I call production they tell me they are working to clear the lines of people who don't have reserved hours and to keep trying. I think calling production or your ICC is the best bet. I'd call production first to let them know what's going on and if you still can't get on then call your ICC. My ICC (if I can reach her) tells me to keep trying but she also says that she will make sure production knows that the lines are full.

Who said there isn't enough work? What's wrong with the charity calls? Why do I feel like I'm in the dark here? I'm working just fine. When I come here I feel like I'm working for another company. I just don't get these comments. If you don't like the job then quit it. What is the point of being miserable? Life is FAR too short to hate your job or be stressed over it to the point of possibly getting sick. And from the posts on here I think most people are stressing themselves out to the point of physical sickness.

Shouldn't we be enjoying life? Let's talk about how we enjoy our lives due to the freedom working at home gives us instead of constantly being negative. I'd rather see a post about things like how to get your kids to be quiet when you are working and what I did with my time off this weekend instead of all of this negative stuff that just hurts people.

I have had over 20 years experience working in customer service as a rep as well as a manager of over sixteen people. I amgoing to keep my patience as I complete this last post on this forum. I phoned production because I could not log in to the system. I told them who I was and that I had reserved hours. I was able to log in ten minutes later. The day I could not log in and could not reach anyone I notified my ICC as I was told to do. I believe that in terms of "no work" I never said that. I was wondering if anyone else was having the same problems and messages from production that I was getting. "No more work on TS" and then a lag time of approx 10 min before they would switch us to Charities. I also believe that I stated I enjoyed working formy companyand never said I hated my job. I very much enjoy working from home and also enjoy sharing experiences with other people. When working at home you do not have a "work environment" with your piers to discuss how "things are going". That was what I assumed this forum was all about.I use to even have a weekly meeting with my department and we called them "b***h sessions. It was good for them to vent. It was a closed door affair and nothing that was said went any further then that room. It made for a happy and satisfied department. And as far as enjoying life honey I have lived 60 years enjoying life!! With two children and four beautiful grand children.
I wish everyone on this forum "the best" and good luck in all of your work at home jobs!! Here's POWER to ya!

Grams--I was not stating to you that you said there was 'no work' I was actually responding toTammies post (you can see it below your post). Tammie has a real issue with so many things and brings down the forum so much and now it's affecting you as well. My comments were towards Tammie's post, not yours. Don't leave because of this misunderstanding. I enjoy your nice and honest posts.

Ok so I am putting my 2 cents worth in...from what I read of Tammie's post, it sounded like frustration to me...that's it. I did not see her being negative. Tammie has been very supportive to me. You do not see the pm's she sends encouraging fellow verifiers when they are getting discouraged. If you see negativity on this board, don't respond to it because it simply keeps the negativity flowing. Yes we come here for support but also to vent. With every job, be it a wahj or a in office job, there will always be real issues. Obviously we should talk to our ICC's if we are having an issue just as you would go to your manager at an in office job. This forum is for support, venting, and fellowship. But I would not be so quick to judge Tammie as negative. She has been very supportive to me as well as Grams. Without the support of these 2, I probably wouldn't of lasted the first week. As for the no work, we all received emails that we would be taking different calls. It goes with the territory of being a cold caller. I like to communicate with fellow verifiers but I can't stand all this finger pointing that has been going on. I for one like the work so far. And as I have said before....my ICC is very support and quick to answer any questions or concerns I have.

Sorry now I'm venting.....

My 2 cents worth too :) I agree, this is a place for support but part of support is listening to someone else vent. In an office if I'm honked off at something, I can vent to a co-worker. Who am I going to vent to at home? I've tried venting to my cats. They just look at me like I'm nuts then ask to be fed.
Just because we vent doesn't mean we don't like the company or our jobs. I gripe about my kids all the time. It doesn't mean I don't love them. It just means we get frustrated sometimes and need to get it out. Better to get it out here than take it out on the customers - right?

Just thought I give u that for a few chuckles! Really did happen but dont ever do it I was being monitored and told in no uncertain terms to NEVER do that again! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif I ofcourse never did!!! ok to update , my day has gone better , got 29 yes for the 2 hour period , after actually talking to 34 people , so that was pretty good , but this morning was crazyyyyy, i did run into several of the survey s , different ones , and oh my oh my , the question about the internet yellow pages and print out ?? that one really dont make sense , the customers dont get it neither do i , so i may be wrong but i shorten it and said , how often do you use your yellow pages once twice or more than twice a month , i think many of you know the survey in question? , you think if we make suggestions that it could be shorten , or made more sense of , cause the script dont have an option for when they say no , u just go straight to the end am i correct? and make the offer,, cause then the second question wouldnt make sense or the question about did you purchase a product or service using your yellow pages ? ok someone fill me in , if im mistaken but i think thats correct, well goodluck to all of the night callers tonight

Wow you guys did better than I did tonight. I didn't even get my 3 hours in. I think I worked a total of an hour. I did half an hour then got back on and did another half hour. I scrubbed carpets today like an idiot and my back is killing me to sit too long. I guess I'll just work longer the next few nights. All I got tonight was DSE, HU's, and answering machines anyways. I think maybe 8 yes. Leave it to me to clean the carpets and pay for it tonight. Glad to see everyone posting positively. Good night...going to bed and hope my back feels better in the morning.
