Ok, so I've been thinking yet again on something to do from home and I've come across this idea. And no, it's not unique.

I've always seen flyers at houses that are for sale with pictures of the outside and inside of the house with information. I think that would be something to get into and was wondering if there is anyone out there that has done this or have any information on how to get something like this started. I already have a digital with 4 megapixels already.

I've also seen websites that list houses with photo galleries and virtual tours offered. I just wonder how one makes money on the photos they take for this type of business. Hope this thread makes sense.

Anyway, TIA for any information or advise given.

Normally, at least where i live, the realtors come and take the pictures when you list it ... they print them off, they upload to the MLS and their personal site
Im not sure , with the way the economy is right now, that they would have someone come in and do it for them, for a fee ....
Couldnt hurt to call a few of the local offices in your area - but i wouldnt have your heart set on it - especially in this declining market

AtHome, you're right. The majority of the time it's the listing agent that takes the photos.

An alternative would be to offer to take virtual tour photography. It requires buying the equipment (which I have NO idea how much it is) but that might be worth looking into.

I am agreed with the GreatLife. I too think that it requires the buying the equipment and is worthy.

Unfortunately alot of realtors do snap that shot of a for sale home. Are you a photographer? If you are looking to sale some of your pictures for profit you can go to www.artwanted.com and you can upload some photos and agree to a small annual fee and they will place your photography on cups, computer mouses, they even frame them and send them directly to the customer and they send you your commssion which isn't too bad at all. I do this in my spare time and it works great for me. There are many other sites that do the same like deviantart.com

Good luck!

Also I just remembered about stock photography to sell your photos. There is tons of websites for this for example: www.dreamstime.com (http://www.dreamstime.com)

You upload your photography to their specification and business' and organizations buy your art or can buy some of the rights to the pics.

Look into it ... it's great! This is another stream of income I enjoy! :)

Good luck!
