Anyone else get pulled in to the surveys today? I did and I really don't like doing those kinds of calls. The questions are stupid! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley23.gifOh well back to calling....

Agree stupid questions. But just get them to finish the survey if u can. They tend to hang up right away! But oh well hang in there!

Which surveys are you talking about? If it's the phone directory surveys, I think those are great calls! They go quickly, the pay is good, people (for the most part) are willing to answer the questions andthe files are fresh so you get more contacts per hour. They're one of my favorite calls! :)

I dont mind the calls I just think that second question loses alot of people. It's too long for one thing?? http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gifI think they should shorten it just to ask people if they or anyone in their family works for a telephone industry in any way?? The one that kills me is the Charity Thank You calls. I dont mind them but you talk constantly even when u receive an answering machine your leaving a message! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley29.gifHave to take a break sometimes to breath. Calls become real quick after 9pm. I stay on until the dialer shuts down.

I'm talking about the yellow pages survey. The one where you ask if they've used any services from the YP's? Yes the call goes quickly but I feel like a dork asking those questions. LOL!

But directories need to know if people are using the yellow pages. The way I look at it is if the directory people want to pay VAF to ask those questions and VAF wants to pay me to ask those questions, I'll do it. It's an easy call to make :)

Agreed but I have worked for many many call centers and I think the script is too long in the beginning. And question #2 is too long. U loose people they hang up. This is for the straight survey call re: V****n. They also dont like bringing their phone book to the phone to give u a date on it. As u said above as long as we make the money but u dont if they hang up on u.http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley19.gif

I can't disagree with you, but what I've found in the past is that for the most part, if a script seems too long or too wordy, the client is insisting that we say it that way. But you could always mention it to your ICC. Maybe it is one that can be changed.

Was thinking about doing just that. Maybe it is one that they would not mind if we shortened a little lol
