What's the best initial order? I'll order stuff we'll use, but does everyone buy the RE-9? Should I try some of the other basic skin care sets? Not sure.
Once I order, how long does it usually take before I get my order?

I usually get my order within 3-5 days.
As far as what to order-how much would you like to spend initially? I think everyone buys the RE9 because it is absolutely amazing! I used it and then I switched over to a basic line which worked wonderfully but just last night I used the RE9 again and MAN! that stuff is SO great! My skin feels and looks so refreshed and clean and glow-y after I use the RE9!
I would buy things that you think will sell in your area. For instance, I am around mainly all college girls so I buy a TON of aromatherapy and bath products.
I would buy an RE9 set to have and let people try. It really is like a puppy-once people keep it for a little bit, they don't want to give it back!

NC, I agree with Cindi. Buy what you'll use then also what you think the people around you will be interested in. If you want the RE9 but want to try the basic set then buy an RE9 for yourself & get some samples to try the basic line out. That way you'll be able to tell people what your opinion of the products are. Sea salt scrubs are always good too b/c people love them. Buy the travel size of things whenever you can so you can give them out to people. Just get a bit of everything, see what works. Prob will wants some demo sets as well.
Cindi- Question for you. You say you are around mostly college kids. I have a college kid about to start & am wondering about the RE9. I assume since they are so young they are going to prefer the basics. So I was thinking she would be better off with giving them samples of basics to try & not dealing with the demo sets. Or do you give demo sets of RE9 out to the college kids?

Hey Jennifer~
My husband and I work at acollegeso I amdefinitely familiar with the college world...this is our 8th yearhere! As far as what skin care products they like-both. In all reality, most college people don't have the money to spend on the RE9 set. BUT, most college people are also looking for a way to get some extra income. I let them try both. If they really want the RE9 but don't have the money, I encourage them to sign up as a consultant and then place their $100 order and get the free product. The reality is that they can order a lot of the RE9 set if they order them individually and then get the Night Creme as their free gift. Still, there are plenty of the girls that are content with just the basic line. I really just have never seen something so great as the RE9 so I definitely want to at least have samples ora demo kit around.
Hope that helps!

Are you going to be doing group presentations or the ReSults approach? What you purchase initiallydepends on how you will run your business.
They say if you want to go fast with the Results approach you should get 4-8 sets to put out. That might be too many depending on what your business plan is. I have 4 sets for the results approachand I invested in a lot of sample packs to put out with them.
When I do a presentation, I bring the following:
1. RE9 set (this is separate from the ones I talked about above, becasue it is opened and used as a 'tester' during the presentation
2. 1 Basics N/O set (becasue RE9 is not for everyone!)
3. 1 Baby Set/ 1 Nutri-Mens set/1Before Sun Set
4. Sea Salt Scrub (I let people try it before we get started)
5. Unwind Bath salts (I hand out in sachets) and a Reactivate Lotion
6. A gift for my hostess (I change this monthly. This month they get AWAKEN/UNWIND tea sets!)
I know it sounds like a lot, but it actually fits nicely in one bag, and I have my Arbonne Photo Tote for catalogs, etc.

Meg that was a good list.
I also have had great luck demoing out the Clear Advantage set. SO many proactiv users out there looking for a non-drying, non bleaching (towels and clothing) alternative! But they want to know if it works. THat one is pretty cheap, only $66 retail, so I like to have one on hand, most people with acne don't want to go 10 days without product and when they pay I just replace the one I gave them.
I also like to have one tin of the protein powder, that is another thing people like to sample first. I take ziplock bags and let them take home a scoop of vanilla.
My hostess gifts vary, as well. Whatever was on special the month before smileys/smiley36.gif

Thanks for the info.
Anet, great ideas!!
I was driving hom tonight listening to a learn and burn my sponsor gave me. And I was trying to decide what would work best for me. I have a back ground in skin care, so I may use the party approach. Althought I'm not into the party thing. We'll see. Our area uses Let's Shop, but I need to check everything out first before I jump in. (That's just my personality type.)
Anyway, Cindi you gave me a great idea. I work with women whocannotafford the RE-9. But if I had them try the regular skin care on the left side of their face and the RE-9 on the right side of their face, then they could decide which one they want.
I would pre-profile them to find out about their skin needs. If they are dry, I'd try the formula for dry skin, etc.
Hmmm. That just might work. Thanks!

I hope you don't mind me jumping in here. I just have a question. When you mention that you have them sample, I'm assuming you're giving them the sample packets. Is that correct? Or are you giving them an actual real set to sample like is suggested with the RE9 set?
Meg, are you bringing those sets to display or do you intend to sell them straight away at the show?
Thanks for letting me ask! Just trying to figure out what will work best for me too.

Leah,
I bring the sets to display. I do the RE9 presentation with the "handcial" and then invite the guests to browse the catalog and feel free to try any of the items I have displayed. I keep my set up pretty simple, but i bring the sets becasue I like to talk about systems, and people like to see things in "real life".
I use Samples with the results approach, becasue I'm not really comforable re-using a set. I drop both the full size set and the sample pack. I ask my prospect to use the sample, but if they decide they want to purchase the set, they have a brand new one right away.
Rhonda,,
thanks for the nice compliment!

What if you have one set marked as demo, and you squirted the product on a tray or their hand. Can you do that?

I use a "demo" set at presentations. I have the guests try the following on the back of their hand.
Wash
serum
day cream
I also have them dab eye cream under their eye, and use the lift.
(there is a great DVD on Arbonne.Com that gives steps to a successful presentation. It's worth the investment if you are going to do group presentations!)
When I'm dropping off, I want them to use the products exclusively for 3 days. I suggest they use a pin to prick a small hole in the sample so they use only a small amount. I've had people tell me the sample lasts even more than 3 days this way.
I hope that answers what you are asking? Let me know if I misunderstood your question!
