I posted this in one of the other folders, but thought you ladies would like to join me also....
A thunderstorm with hail the size of dimes has just passed through. My five year old is looking out of our front picture window at the clouds and he is singing....
Mr Sun, Sun, Mr Golden Sun please shine down on me (and that is all he can remember of the song!) over and over at the top of his lungs for the last 30 minutes! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

We've been locked inmost of theday because of illness.

Please note the sun peaked out while it was raining, and we had a huge rainbow for a few moments. He is estatic because he sang a rainbow for me. smileys/smiley10.gif

Hey I'll send you some of the heat wave we are having here. Its soooo hot I can hardly stand to be outside. I can't breathe well in extreme heat.

Okay this am the sun is shining (storms are supposed to be coming later today, and staying til at least Tues), everyone is feeling better,I'm on cup of coffee number two, and I am now seeing the lesson I should have gotten from my bang my head against the wall day yesterday.
Because as you all know children do not come with off switches, or volume control,as my baby sang (loudly)I repeatedly tried to get him to sing some other songs from bible school, Backyardigans, even Queen (he loves We will rock you). He steadfastly refused, and sang Mr. Golden Sun until the sun peaked out, and he was blessed with a rainbow.
What a great lesson about persistence, and not letting others deter you from your goal! Putting this in my mental folder for the next time someone asks..."when are you gonna get a real job?"
