http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gifHi,all
Just ran across a company that I'm hoping some of you are familiar with ~ It's called Arise, formerly Willow. Have any of you ever worked for them? What was your experience? How did you go about getting clients from Arise to contract with? Is it really steady work? I'm looking to start with something while I'm waiting to hear from LiveOps, West and Working Solutions, so I'm hoping that someone has some info to share regarding this company and what they're like.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
Have a blessed day!!!

I haven't worked with them, but i did apply and was accepted. From post I've read, they are legit and the pay is good. The only difference btwn Arise and W*st is that with Arise you are an IC and you have to pay upfront for background checks, agent training, and training for each job you want to apply for. You also have to form a corporation as they only work with corporations. The startup is usually around $200-$400 depending on if you are incorporated already and what client trainings you go for. With the other co. (W*st, Working Sol) you may have to wait a while before getting a response. Hope this helps in your decision and good luck with your search!

Would you mind sharing what you did to set up your corporation? Why did you decide not to go with them? Thanks!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

I did not set up a corporation. After I applied and completed the background check, my next step was the corporation, but then I got an offer from W*st so I decided to go with them because there was no costs involved.

Sorry -- this has nothing to do with Arise, but I just completed Direst Response training with WEST. How do you like working for them ?
Do they "pick you to pieces" when they monitor ? Thanks for a reply.

Hello
I am in the process of incorporating with Arise, I just took and passed the ACP 101 course, just need to submit my corporation information. It seems likea pretty good company to work for, and I am anxious to start.
Thanks

W3st may not have any costs involved, but they are a very unorganize company, and you cant make the kinda money w/them that you can make w/Arize. Arize is the best wah company out here at the moment. Arize specifically states they are a BUSINESS OPP, not a job. You must have $$$ to get w/Arize. W3st is a job, you are an employee w/W3st. I been w/Arize since Jan 08, and I am very pleased. W3st on the other hand, all the issues I hear they have, its not worth it. Plus aren't they paying min wage???Edited by: Ballah#1

I have worked for Arise now for a year, they are agreat company. I came in right when they switched from Willow to Arise and the company was still small I had no setup cost except background check of $15 and coporation fees for Fl which were about $90, I know its more in other states.
They have some great clients to work for and there is always positions they need filled. I do know as of now it is in investment since the training can get expensive but you can make back the money in no time and all fees can be written off on taxes. The process of becoming certified is nice it doesnt take long at all. You can become ready to work in a few weeks and after you have selected a client then it takes about two weeks to train and then you start work immiedately, no waiting for them to email you when they want you to work.
I will say however, the staff was always great, never had problems with pay or Hr issues, until they switched how they handle their individual case issues ranging from hours, pay, metrics, technical support...etc. they switched from having departments leads you would contact directly to what they call the Resolution Center which is basically an email support system where any complaint you open a case and send off your email. It takes way to long to get anything handled, and some of it is time sensitive, and then only to get automated type responses most of the time. This new system was put into place in August and I know alot of people are unhappy, so dont let this persuade you because Im sure they are just working out the kinks right now. I just feel you are no longer treated as a person with a problem but a case number stuck in a corner with everyone else problems.
I will stay with Arise because like I said if they can get past this Resolution Center issues they are great. I was looking into other opportunities but everything I read does seem like Arise is one of the better ones.
Im open to any questions

How many clients are you currentlyassigned?
Are you paid by the Hour or by the Minute?
Do any of your clients have guaranteed rates?
Are you allowed a VOIP phone line?
Thanks

Thanks for all the info sharing, guys! I actually decided to go ahead with the company, and I really like it so far. Have my first client, taking calls now, and I'm trying to learn the ins and outs of Arise metrics and how to maintain great service levels by their standards. Things are still kinda new, not quite feeling totally prepared to service the client, but things are coming together more and more as I take calls daily. Did my first transactions today w/out looking at my printed out job aids, so that says something! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif
There are some things that kinda drive me a little crazy at times, but overall, I'm really glad I chose Arise, and I definitely plan to stick with them. Looking forward to getting more proficient w/the client system and procedures, and when things smooth out a little, I'd love to take on another client as well. Yay!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

Bjbrownbob,
You pretty much choose your clients, and how many you want to service. Some of them have pretty intensive training (like the one I currently service), so you may want to consider spacing out taking more than one client at a time, just a thought.
Each client usually has an aggregate amount that they pay per hour, and it can vary between $9-10 from what I've seen so far. But keep in mind I'm relatively new. I'm sure there are other clients out there that may offer more than that. They also pay by the minute, and that amount varies also by client. You'll get the higher of the two at payday.
They don't allow a VoIP line right now. You'd need a regular phone line with no bells and whistles, no long distance needed, just a dial tone, pretty much. HTH!

I made minimum wage my first 3 months which was May, June, & July of 2008. New and slow employees were paid minimum wage, while experienced employees with higher typing speeds received bonus for handling all calls under a very unrealistic timeframe.
I haven’t worked for minimum wage since before college back in 1989 and to receive minimum wage while using my own utilities, computer, phone, etc was insulting. To say the least I only worked a few hours a week and had to seek traditional temporary employment until wages increased.

THANKS FOR ALL THE INFO !!! W*st is the most un-organized company ever. They have trained employees sitting idle wanting new skills while they are hiring off the street and giving the new skills to them ... good grief ..........
