first of all, I don't mean anything negative towards anyone at all. I'm totally happy for everyone and their accomplishments.....however something has been bothering me lately and am just wondering what am I doing wrong with my business,....
on this board lately & in the past i've seen many ladies in DIQ asking questions or for things that are in my opinion thingsthey should already know if you're that far along in levels. I was wondering what am i doing wrong in my business that I'm still stuck at Unit VIP (been there for awhile) but I havethe answers and items these DIQs are requesting....

I am asking people to join my team at all my spas, their interested....but ...I just can't get them to JUST DOIT. very frustrating! I was so close to going on the New Orleans trip...actually would have if all the people who said they were interested would have followed through. they signed the agreement....gave me a check but told me to hold it til after next payday!!!And I would and after the next payday guess what....they changed their minds completely. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley7.gif
So what I am wanting to know is....what are you DIQs currently in months 1, 2, 3 are saying or doing at your spas.....I'm not sure if this is too vague a question but it's just something I"m scratching my head on....thanks in advance for your help.

Unfortunately not everyone is part of a team that has been around for a long time, or has a director that is as experienced as others. So there are things that aren't put out there in black and white that people (myself included) have had questions about, and this group of people is one of the best for information! So I guess that's why you see people on here asking questions that you think they should know already?

I agree with Jennifer. Others have great uplines and directors that work with them through DIQ. Others, like me, have a good director-but lack in up to date info and ideas for spas, recruiting, and bookings.

You need to search out and find what is it about your spa's that you need to improve on. Mine is describing the treatments and giving a a-haaa moment to them (in my opinion). My closing needs work......

But I feel that I am strong at recruiting...I don't know why but I believe it is all in your body language and verbiage. When I first did spa's I messed it all up and when I changed my verbiage I had a lot more success.

I close my spa with my set packages and a an opportunity for anyone who buys a set to purchase an item at 50% off from my basket of favourites: green tea, peppermint oil, brown sugar etc. Then I bring out my membership sheet. I say for anyone interested in the greatest package of the evening the company has an amazing promotion right now. I have a copy of that set sheet on everyone's clip board or pass it around. I use the Costco analogy but I know some consultants don't like that analogy. I say this: Who here has a Costco membership? Great so you understand the concept of discount buying. What the company is offering this month is an opportunity to do exactly that. A promotion like this will appeal to 3 people ladies. It appeals to you gals who are the smart shoppers and want to save the most money. It appeals to those of you who want a membership that allows you to continue to purchase at fabulous disounts....sometimes product is reduced by 75% and then your additional % of 25-50% off applies. Or some of you gals might just want to do what I do. (Then I show the purse I have that night, I talk about the trip I've earned and the one I will receive at the end of DIQ and I mention the car allowance of $900.00 at the end of DIQ and whatever my Director made last month) Ladies tonight you can walk away with your skincare, green tea (First part of kit) which includes about$344.00 worth of productall for the $195.00 promotion. Please keep in mind, girls, that this promotion is regularly priced at $295.00 so this month you are getting a great deal and our husbands love when we save them money don't they? (usually everyone laughs) This company is first class and has set up a product workshop for those of you who take the membership. They realize of course that all of you might be interested in the membership for different reasons but they want to give you the opportunity to discover the quality of product that you will now have your hands on. As a reward for attending your complimentary product workshop in the first 90 days you are additionally rewarded with another $300.00 + of product including the microdermabrasion that you all fell in love with tonight. How soft does your skin feel ladies? Your first set of products will ship to you within 5 - 7 business days and as an even greater bonus....you receive this wonderful spa / travel bag. Who would like to take advantage of the $644.00 value for $195.00. Great! When would you like to reserve your product workshop? We have these dates available and it is better to book now than to wait until one is fully booked.

That is about it as different things happen from there on. At one spa during the New Orleans promotion I signed up 6 ladies and still moved $750.00 worth of product. I signed up 3 at another spa, 3 at another one yet, and another 6 ladies during the 2 month promotion. I really believe that you have to decide what you want before you go in though for the point that you are in your business. For example my last few spas I really wanted to focus on retail and one spa moved $1000.00 worth of product and the next one moved $500.00+ worth of product with additional orders of over $400.00 flowing in shortly after because I put my own coupons in the girls' bags of products. In these spas I didn't even really focus on the opportunity because I really wanted to move a bunch of product.I really want to build up clients who have fallen in love with the product before the next August trip promotion for obvious reasons. Thank you all for your responses.
Especially you, believer....I appreciate you taking time to share your close in such detail! thanks!
I guess during the recruiting promotion I was totally syked until got the air knock out of my recruiting sail by all the who didn't follow thru on what they said they would do. Oh well! Just needed to get the ole booster shot in the arm by some fellow consultants http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley10.gif

A big difference that I see between "DIQ recruiters" and other consultants is that they recruit every month. They are preparing for Directorship when it's expected to build each month. I find most of my team recruits great during a promotion but then sits and waits in between until the next promotion. I know it's vague, but you already received a wonderfully detailed close above, so I didn't want to repeat. I just suggest striving for a consistent 2-3 recruits every month instead of exhausting yourself during promotion months. Also, keep all those people that were interested on a list and tell them you'll let them know next time it goes on special. It just wasn't the right time for them now, but in a couple months you never know! I've had lots of people join after I asked them over 5 times. Persistence pays off.

Johanna,

I hope that it didn't sound like I only recruit during promotions. I believe in recruiting consistently. But I also believe that I am a business owner and If I have my 3 for my month and I would like to focus on my ATM or on moving some product that it is OK to go in and focus on retail at a spa. That is what I love about this business is that it is not one dimensional, that as business owners we can certainly "direct" where our business goes and what products move consistently by where we focus our efforts. I have absolutely signed up people who have said they would do the business and didn't and those who said they didn't think they would and they are doing it now. If somehow in my post it sounded like I only recruit during a promotion and then "wait", that is not what I meant at all and I apologize if that's how it came out. What I really meant is that it is not a loss if I sell a bunch of retail because they are hopeful business owners for the future or at "worst" (tongue in cheek) repeat clientele.

I also think that follow up after a spa is critical. From many of my spas, through follow up in the next 4 week period, I have signed up many gals after the fact. I think what is important to remember is that each director has had great leadership from the company and the 2+2+2 is full proof and the wheel doesn't need to be re-invented. So for each of us on here we have directors who have a wealth of information to share with us and I'm sure that they would all love the opportunity to speak into our lives and businesses. So I guess that if something here doesn't line up with what you gals are being taught, please always, always trust your director because he/she is the one who is willing to invest the most toward your business and personal growth.

believer, I dont' think Johannaa was talking about you...http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif
I like the way you think about the business!

I totally got what she was saying about burning myself out during promotions and then not recruiting inbetween. I think I was doing that! Johannaa made me rethink that again. thanks!

This is so true. I find that some of the people that I recruit NOT during the promotion stick around longer as well. The one's that buy it for the dealoften get in and then get out. The one's that spend a bit more on the kit see it for the incredible deal it is not just the impulsive buying. They get hooked on the products whether they are doing the business or not!

Girls,
I believe I have found my first true worker on my personal team! I have worked the business for 2+ years and have seen consultant come and go who are interested in the the biz end of it-but never followed through with it.

I signed up someone the other day who is truely into doing spa's from the get go and is taking notes and so on. She went to BeautiU today and is doing the $2,000 order!!!! She is currently living here in Dayton with her mom but will soon be moving back to Norfolk, VA. I am so excited that I have a personal recruit that will be working.

I do have another personal recruit that is on this board-she has not decided on what she wants to do yet-but hopefully she will start doing spa's. She has one booked on the calendar-so I hope that encourages her to do more.

Spa's are so much fun and so easy to do-the products are what they say they are and the company is great-hope that I can sign DIQ next spring or this fall.

Johanna,

I hope that it didn't sound like I only recruit during promotions.

No, I wasn't talking about you, believer. Sorry you took it personally. I was just answering the original question of what some possible differences might bebetween how VIPS and DIQs recruit.

Johannaa,

Oh ha ha ha! I went back again and read your post with the VIP vs DIQ idea and I totally see what you meant. AAAaaaah! Sorry. I see how easy it is to misinterpret written information.......to coin a phrase from my grades 10 - 12 students......"my bad"! Thanks.
