Have any of you ladies tried this method of advertising? I am a little
hesitant, because essentially it is spamming people.. But if Bob Schmitz
swears by it, it can't be all that bad, right?
If you've had success, what areas have you gone to for distributing your
announcement cards? Parking lots for places like malls, Target, college
campus area? Coffee shops?
I think I'm going to take the plunge. "What the Heck!" Right Lori? smileys/smiley36.gif

Don't go to WalMart - I hear they will make you clean up every card found on their parking lot! I've not had this happen - I don't use the method myself - but I have heard of the WalMart horror stories smileys/smiley36.gif

I call them "TOSS- UMS""!!
Becuase.........That is what people do, they TOSS them off their windows before even reading!! And the parking lot gets trashed with YOUR business. I dont want any kind of negativit pointed at my business.
Me, personally, i never respond to the window advertising.
May work for some, but that is a lot of effort (and paper) out the window (so to speak)!! lol smileys/smiley36.gif

I wanted to mention, I have heard of people leaving sizzle cards and envelopes places and even someone put an envelope with cards inside with a magnet on the outside of their car when it was parked.
I would go to some places and see if you can leave a small basket with some business cards and scent samples with a sign attached that say "Take one, Free Sample." smileys/smiley1.gif
People love FREE and THEY are making the decision to take or not to take!! Makes them feel in control!!!

I agree with Jen on the windshield thing - I wouldn't trust a business who would leave a card on my car. But setting up a card holder with scent samples is better.

Hi Kitt,
I have tried this method and I did not hear from anyone one. I did however find several of my cards on the groundsmileys/smiley5.gif. I would definatly take Jennifer's advice on this one and do the sign and a basket with samples/biz card. I think you will get alot more response from that than just the card in the window.
