Hello Everyone,

Its me again. I need some ideas for a pricess theme baby shower.... So far I have pink and white table cloths. Im doing the cake table, gift table and punch table (will have a fountain) with linens. The cake table will have white linen with either satin, lace or boa drap with twinkling lites, maybe just a ballon arrangement or flowers for the gift table or something drapped over the table, punch dont know. Each table will have a small pillow with a glass slipper on it as centerpieces. Favors - slippers with candy in it, i saw idea of pixie sticks as wands... I want to use a few tiaras as well.. Any other ideas... Any ideas for the food table... Baby shower is in August... Any help is MUCH appreciated. Thank You

you can get really cute "jewels" from any craft store. these are the larger ones... and i know they come in various colors. those always look nice scattered on tables (i know b/c i've used them for some tables i did). also you might want to think about a thrown for the mom-to-be. you know her official chair!

also, you might want to taylor some games to have more of a princessy theme to them. (you can easily take the standard games and make them with a "princess" feel to them!) so far, i love your ideas!

Oh my gosh... thank you for the jewels idea... I also had the idea of the thrown but forgot to throw that in... Im also thinking about doing scroll invitations... Do you have any other ideas I could use stars for? Thank you soooo much...

Hmm...stars... let me work on that one. but one thing the immediately comes to mind is making the pixie stick wands and use the star as the top part.

also, twinkle lights would be lovely on all tables... like around them or snaked across the tops, but between the levels. ok, so what i mean is you most likely could have "levels" for the food... it's so easy to do. you take boxes (various sizes) and put them under the table cloths... then you arrange the table cloths so that they aren't perfectly straight. then you could run the twinkle lights inbetween the boxes on top of the table, and put the jewels scattered around as well.

another star thing, use them (depending on what colors they are) as decorations around the top of the wall or on the ceiling. (like a fairy tale ball under the stars)

OR, if you want the mother-to-be to have an awesome keep sake, you could have everyone write a nice thought, or wish for the baby and then take them all and make a mobile. My best friend did something similarly for me, but she folded each paper into a crane. She got this photo holder that is a ball in the center and arms that reach out. At the end of the arms are clips. And each crane is attached to a clip. (i hope this makes sense. I can totally picture what I mean!)

I was going to actually to do that. I saw that in a bridal shower book..
I like those ideas, the only thing with the food is the foodwill be in burners so I wouldnt be able to do levels... what do you suggest?

thats an idea as well (decorations on wall).... there is an entrance into the hall that im thinking about hanging streamers from the entrance i was also thinking about doing a runner to the mother to be chair. I was going to do balloons and let them loose with scrolls at the end but the ceilings are too high...

I like the star mobile. thats cute... Im just hoping things come together like I want them too...

The food, I would do the twinkle lights in front of the pans... kind of camoflage (sp?) the burners and trays. (To me, they can be an eye sore--depending on which type they are!) If you want to get really fancy, you could do it inbetween the trays of food, HOWEVER, it also depends on how close or far apart they are. Also, you can still do layers/levels for any of the non-burnered food... so if you have a cheese table, or dessert table.

You can also place a princess themed diaper cake as a centerpiece on the gift table. That can be part of the decoration for the table as well as a nice gift for the mom to be.

Uppercase Living has great decorative expressions that can be used for these types of parties and themed events.
