Hi All,
I became an Arbonne Consultant a year ago and asked every family member, friend and stranger I could find to have a party for me and no one was interested. I mean no one! They all said their skin is sensitive and like what they use. I tried flyers at my gym, circulated them in my neighbourhood, posted a notice in the local coffee shop, had 2 booths at two separate shows, registered on message boards, gave out samples over many months to friends and family and was extremely enthusisatic.
I really need to make some money badly and was going to look for a part time job when I thought maybe I should start again with Arbonne, only this time I am wondering if perhaps I shouldn't concentrate soley on the makeup as most people seemed more interested in the makeup than they were with the skin care, particularly the lip gloss and the founation.
For me personally the RE9 system didn't work for me and I didn't find fabulous results with any of the other skin care products either unfortunatley. I kept waiting for people to comment on my skin like they say they do in the literature and tapes. Rita Davenport makes it sound like if you look good, the products just sell themselves. This didn't happen for me. Having said this, I absolutely love the self-tanner and the bronzer and think it looks great!
Can any of you tell me if you think it's worthwhile to focus primarily on the makeup and then if someone is interested in the skin care, talk about that.
I basically need to know if it's worthwhile for me to give it another shot. It didn't work for me the first time around with the skin care. Have any of you found success selling the makeup?
THANK YOU!

You have to LOVE your products and be passionate about and totally
believe in your company in order to succeed. It doesn't sound
like you are sold on your own product. I was never able to get
that passion and spark going either and I tried a couple of times. I do
use the Arbonne aromatherapy in my gift baskets.
If you truly love Arbonne maybe it would be worth it to try the
color approach. Do YOU use the color and foundation? The
only drawback I can see is that there isn't a sampling program for the
color line. But I suppose you could do the puppy dog approach, could be
a little expensive, but maybe worth it in the long run. You just might
get women excited about color and the skin care will come later.
I know that women all sign up for different reasons. It could
possibly work.

I WAS extremely enthusiastic about the products... believe me. I just got very frustrated but now I hear about thispuppy dog approach and am wondering if I won't be more successful with this.
What isthis puppy dog approachby the way?

You said that the RE9line didn't work for you and that you didn't like
the other skin care lines either. What were you enthusiastic
about? I'm not being smart with you, I just can't see what there
was for you to be enthusiastic about if you didn't like it.
I really do find that the skin care is the majority of my sales and
reorders. I have never used any products that made my skin look
and feel so great. My customers say the same thing. I would
never dream of selling them otherwise.
I don't know of anyone that focuses exclusively on color, so I don't know how it would go.

what about the figure 8 and nutrition? have you tried those products?
I have personally seen such a huge difference in many people's skin from using Arbonne, and it feels great to help other people with their difficult skin issues- it can be life-changing for them and what better way to help someone boost their self-esteem issues? I think if you have belief in our products, that will truly help your business grow. If you have any friends/family members with difficult skin, let them try a skin care system appropriate for them and possibly write testimonials for you to read and have on hand, that may help you build your belief.

me again, I just wanted to add- I didn't have skin difficulties before Arbonne and at the first party I attended put in my obligatory order for the RE9 wash and toner and the thermal fusion enzyme masque. I felt a difference in the texture of my skin and the softness is now incredible! I fell in love with the products not really justmy own xperience but for what I saw happen to 2 of my close friends. It was almost like an overnight transformation in their skin! One is on the Bio-Matte and the other is on RE9. Yesterday, I just saw one of the other attendees from that party in December who had very problem skin- cystic acne- OMG you should see her now!! In December she had a couple dozen really red and inflamed acne on her cheeks and now her skin is as smooth as a baby's bottom! RE9 and thermal fusion enzyme masque!

If you have the color line, I'd say try it. You could invite
people over to your place for a themed party such as
"Makeup and Margaritas" or "Cosmetics and
Cosmos." If you don't have the color line to demo,
obviously you can't do this. I think everyone is right
about building your belief --you need belief in the
products, the company, network marketing, and
yourself.
Good luck.

If you don't have the About Face color line, how about getting the New
Castaway Collection and promoting that? The colors looks really great
and I love the Margaritas and Make-up idea!! Plus, the Castaway
products are packaged in that "Margarita" lime color. It would be a
great intro to color for your customers without having to spend a lot
on the entire About Face line.
And then maybe try promoting the BEfore sun products with the cute
beach bag that is the PWP for the sun products. What a great
combination for a "Margarita/Make-up" party! Give it a try.
You never know, it just might be the ticket to get your business going!

Hi:
Iwas in the same boat as you with another company.I have very sensitive skin and wasn't able to use the skin care. I did not think you could make it on make-up alone, skin care is what makes the money, so I chose to quit. I found Arbonne and it is the only skin care I have been able to use. I do not like to do home parties so I stayed on as a wholesale buyer. I later found a company I was passionate about and fit into my comfort zone just great.
I think if you can't use all the products, you really can't do well with that company because your whole heart isn't in it.
Find something you love and can use. Best of luck in your search.
