If you make calls in the evening, what time do you consider too late to call someone on business?
Thanks,

The latest I can make myself call is 8p.m. I just figure after that is when people are trying wind down from their day and the last thing they want is me calling them. I do my best calling between 1:30 - 3p.m. (nap time) and then again from 6:30 - 8p.m.

I agree- 8:00...if I know the person real well and know they are a "uplate person"..I might call at 8:30.....

I always call before 8pm. My "office hours" are between 7pm and 9pm. If I leave a message on their answering machine, I let them know they can reach me until 9pm, but I give them that choice.

I normally call before 8pm, if I know them, I will call up until 8:30 but otherwise I keep it a little earlier.

9pm is my cutoff and should I get someone at that time, I keep it very short...5 to 10 minutes.

I prefer to have my business calls made by about 7:30pm,but 8:00pm would be the very latest.

If anyone calls me after 8, I get a bit annoyed and am not very receptive.
When I used to be in the DS business I made the majority of my evening calls from 6:30-7:30 - that way...I was safe from interrupting dinner (usually) and primetime tv. http://wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

I'd have to agree with 8:00 being the latest. I never want to cut into prime time TV.

It depends on the time of year.
Winter-time no later than 7:45-8pm.
Summer-time - people are out later - so I call usually until 8:30.
Actually - I have been getting a hold of a TON of people between 7:45-8:30pm lately - and it has been GREAT!!
Sometimes, I even call on Friday from 4-5pm as they are in a great mood before the weekend begins.....and this way I don't call on Sundays!

I agree with everyone- 8pm is my cut off, though some nights it has been until 8:30pm. But I like to watch my TV shows, LOL, so I try to get done by 8pm!!

I would have to agree, after 8pm seems to be family, tv or cuddle time for most people, I wouldnt want to interrupt that! :)

I had a lady call me at 11:30 at night one time. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif
I was sleeping so good too. When I answered the phone the first thing that came out of my mouth was "Whats wrong is everything okay." http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif
We were on totally different time zones.
Anyhow if making phone calls make sure you know the time zones.
I did call her the next day.http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

PS I would call around 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
To me it's a safe bet that most times they'll be home.

Wow 11:30! I would be so embarrassed if I did that. Fortunately I'm on eastern time so it is usually later here.
Thanks for all the responses. I think 8:00-8:30 is a safe bet.
