I am trying to create a knock-off of 'Insolence' by Guerlain. Two notes that I need help with are Tonka Bean and Iris. Any suggestions on which combination of our oils would most closely approximate those scents would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif

For Iris, maybe Freesia? I have no idea what a Tonka Bean is, let alone what it smells like! Sorry.

Tonka bean can be interchanged with vanilla. Check out Lavender Lane dot com for essential and fragrance oils.

Thanks Karlene and Rebecca. You guys put me on the right track to do a little sleuthing. Tonka bean has hints of vanilla, almond, cinnamon and cloves. Now all I need is someone to share a few drops of their clove fragrance from the original UB kit with me!!

K., you are also right with the freesia for iris. A bit of lily and violet can also be added.Edited by: TLCFragrance
