Hi! My name is Christie and I just got hired with Verafast! I will be starting next week and I can't wait! It is so encouraging that you are doing so good. I am super excited!! I am a SAHM with 4 kids and I need to make some extra income. I really hope this works out. I tried ChaCha but I was too slow. It stressed me out making 20cents in 30 minutes.LOL I will post next week and report how it goes. Wish me luck!

hi shannon how r u , what area are you in , ? you should have a good time , dont be nervous , by the way im tammie aka spunky and have been enjoying the job thus far , and no need to be nervous , just read the simple scripts and follow step by step and use rebuttals and u can get a nice pay check , i normally average about 4oo per week , and sometimes in the mid 300's , but good luck , ive seen some with checks as much as 7oo per week or more , but its doable , if your working ALL THE TIME, especially take advantage of the first week , WHERE U CAN WORK ANY TIME YOU WONT AND WONT BE KNOCKED OFF , the pay would be LOVELY , u can work ten hours a day if you like totally up to you , goodluck

Hi all, I'm new to this board. I filled out the online app for Verafast and got a phone call a few days ago from a rep from Verafast. She asked me a few questions, she called it a screening. I answered them and she said she would get back to me if I fit what they were looking for. The phone call didn't take that long. Is this bad? I've seen some other people on here saying you can go to some website to check the status of your application but I can't seem to find that site. Any help with this?

Thanks for any insight you can provide. I'm looking forward to supplementing my income.

:) Melis

Wow! Only a few minutes on the phone with the ICC? I was on the phone with mine for well over 30mins. We got off the beaten path and talked like we had known each other for years. I sent my paper work in yesterday so I should be starting next week....I hope! Hope it goes well for you!

Hi new to the forum just today! I am a stay at home grandma taking care of the two grandgirls for my single parent daughter. I started working with Verafast June 4 (testing calls) on a Wednesday. I worked Wed through Tues (their week) and had 15 hours in. My ICC told me my first check would not be sent out until this Sat June 21???? Will my check be for both weeks that I worked? Second week was June 11 to 17 .... just curious. Seems like a long time to wait on your first check.
Thanks to all of you for the wonderful information on this site. You helped an old grandma ALOT!

the verafast job was not for me. I hated soliciting people for retail store credit cards, so I really hated basically cold calling people, and the 5.75 I made per hour was not worth the hassle. I got a data entry job that I like more. However, I will say this, verafast does take 3 weeks to pay you, but that's normal in any job, my retail job, I worked 3 weeks before I saw any money. Same here.

Hello thanks for the answer. Appreciate that guess I wasnt thinking. Figured that if you are paid every week it would just be a two week wait. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif So far I dont mind the work at Verafast. Its calling asking if the customer received his yellow pages directory and then trying to get them to say YES to receiving a free 2wk or 4wk local newspaper delivery. So far there isnt any upselling or anything like that. I start my training with Westat Fri. Still not sure what thats all about. I believe it is taking surveys over the phone??? Not sure........http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley18.gif

I spoke with the recruiter over the phone today and I was very excited about the job (still am).

Yeah most jobs take 2-3 weeks to pay you the first time. *shrug* I don't recall reading here that someone did not get paid so I feel good about it.

O I dontdoubt you dont get paid. Just anxious I guess to see approximately what my pay will be. Its hard to figure it out just on credits alone. I just love my ICC she is so helpful. I am taking a webinar tonight to learn more projects. Pretty exc ited about it. It will make the time go faster doing different calls. So far so good. Good luck to you when do you start your training calls?

I sent all my paperwork in yesterday so i hope I will start soon. I'm looking forward to it. I hope the pay is as good as some post here. I guess the only way to find out for myself is to try. Good luck to all of ya!

the work is easy, but the whole outbound calling thing is not for me. If I'm working customer service, i like the person to come to me for an answer, me to solve it and not have to get them to buy anything more. I worked for 2 weeks, and got paid for both. I just don't want to do outbound.

Dont blame you all of my customer service experience was inbound also. It takes awhile to get use to the outbound. Would rather do inbound but could not find anything out there that you didnt have to pay out cash to get started ... just did not have the capitol. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley6.gifMaybe later?

Yeah, there's definate advantages to the inbound calls. It will be very different after all this outbound I've been doing. I couldn't make it to the webinar last week so I"m anxious to hear how it's going. Did anyone out there go to the webinar forthe inbound calls? What do you think? How are they going?

I am new to applying for jobs like this. Does anyone have a list of jobs you can look at online or maybe a website where you can compare these jobs and apply? Just curious...

I have been working online for a few years doing web design, graphic design and other things like that. But this sounds interesting to me. It would be nice having the work there to do and get paid for without having to make a sale to get it ;) So any idea would be great appreciated on how to get started with a good company.

knksmommy
06-23-2008, 04:12 PM
You will have to file a schedule C which is a self employment form. You will then pay state and federal taxes. OUCH! I plan on setting aside a set amount each pay so it won't hurt so bad at tax time.

ya me too. My daughter does my taxes she had me save all of my receipts for the landline phone, the headset, the printer, ect. You can also claim a part of your rent or home payment due to the fact that you are working from your home. She also said she thinks there will be an extra credit for people working from home due to the environment. No gas!! I will keep you posted. Have to log on now!! Grandkids are gone and time for me to do any easy job after watching them all day..http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley29.gif

Hi everyone,

I've posted a few times today, I'm new... after much reading about some different work at home opportunities, I decided to try to get hired w/VeraFast.

My questions:What is the usual wait timebetween the on line application and the phone interview?(If I'm understanding thatthe next thing that happens is a phone interview, notan e-mail....)

Can anyone give me an idea of what I will pay quarterly in taxes if I work about 15 an hour?Just a ROUGH estimate - can someone tell mewhat % of their pay they put away each week, each month?

Thank you so very much!

Hi, I just got an interview done with Verafast and filled out my paperwork to be sent back. As far as the taxes go, cuz for a while I did taxes and probably will again this year, unless you make like way more than what any of us working stiffs make, the self employment tax amount is 7.65% for the usual and another 7.65% for the employer's part. an average of about 15% of your pay. After deductions, that will change but that is what the self employment tax is figured on. it's basically the amount that you would see deducted for social security and medicare on a regular job X 2.

Did anyone have the same problems logging in to the site last night. My reserved hrs are 7pm to 9pm (usually stay on till dialer quits) but could not log in until 7:20pm this is second time. Very frustrating! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley35.gifThen the system crashed and logged me out!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley35.gif Think they have too many on the dialer. I was especially thinking about the new people just making trial calls. Did u all do ok??? Said a prayer for ya!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley20.gif

Hi grams! I think I did ok. It's the coding that I messed up on some. The calls go so fast you forget what they said...lol. I now have a notebook that I am writing everything down on as I go. I work this evening 6-9 so we shall see how it goes tonight.

Good glad it went ok for you. I still keep a notebook with me especially for the comments like "no apt no but live in the rear upstairs" !! Just hit that green audio button to release your call and take your time coding for awhile. After this week you will be a pro at it. I will be on there tonight too! Just keep thinking say yes say yes say yes lol also be sure you code the ones already receiving the paper correctly you get credit for those.....good luck http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley20.gif
