Well to start off...I'm new to the board. I've been looking around for most part of the day. I am a SAHM of 2 daughters. I recently left my full time job as a bookkeeper/accounts payable coordinator. I would love to continue to stay at home but unfortunately money is getting tight. I have looked all over the web for REAL stay at home work but keep finding scams. I've applied at West and Apline and not heard anything, that was over 2 months ago. Could anyone please send me in the right direction? I don't want to do surveys, sell stuff,or keyforcash. I tried that and made a wooping $1.57 in 2 hours. I would love to find real secretarial work or data entry. Thank you all for the help, in advance.

I got an invite from ChaCha. I'm going to try that out this evening when I have some quiet time. Thanks!

Welcome! You might want to check out the transcription folder below on this board. There are a lot of companies that will hire without experience if you pass their test.
It's harder to find a work-at-home job than it is to find a job out in the world, but it can be done. Just be persistent. Put in applications everywhere, every day. Sooner or later, you'll get a bit.
Don't ever pay money to get a job. There are a lot of scammers out there, unfortunately.

Hi Becky,
I don't have your accounting skills -- but if I was in your shoes -- I'd look for small businesses that need someone to come in occasionally, like once a month to take care of things. That way you could be at home for most of the time but still get paid. I know one WAHM that had like a dozen clients like that and she made GOOD money that way. She was VERY good at bookkeeping and her clients totally relied on her and gave her referrals to other small businesses that needed help. Maybe you can also do some of the work from home? HTH!

I think espressochick has a great idea. I think working for yourself from home is 10X better than working for someone else from home. You could print up some brochures and pass them around to a bunch of businesses near you and see what happens!
