I am in the process of having a post card created/printed to pass out to attract business builders. Has anyone done this before? I am only expecting a 1-2% success rate, so I plan to do about 500 to start.

I have not, but I'd love to hear about yours!

Good Luck with it.

It basically gives a bullet-pointed description of the benefits of becoming an Arbonne Consultant...

-generous comp. plan

-mercedes benz program

-time leveragability

-pure, safe, beneficial...etc

I also highlighted the fact there is no animal testing, products,or bi-products... I personally think this is huge and a big selling point!

I am going to canvas different areas/neighborhoods daily. (This will be my exercise in addition to my Figure 8 plan!)

My past work experience tells me that any kind of direct mail piece will onlyhave a 1-2% success rate. I am fine with it! If I can get one or two TRUE business builders out of it that will be well worth the $137 I'm spending on printing!

The post cards will also help those interested seek ME out! If someone is interested, they will let me know.

Great idea!

I also like that you will walk while you canvass. 2 birds with one stone! My Goal is 1000 minutes of physical activity this month. I have a feeling that there will be a few LONG walks in there. I'll need to make up the difference!

My thoughts exactly! (2 birds/1 stone)

Of course my goal is to sign 5-10 people up a month this way. Wouldn't that be awesome?! Who knows, maybe I'll get some great referrals out of it if nothing else.

where will you put the post cards? On the doors?

Yes, that's my plan. I figured a post card would be more noticeable than a flyer. I NEVER pay attention to flyers since they are usually Chinese take-out menus, etc. Plus, the paper is thicker.

Is it legal to do that? I thought (I may be wrong) that if you put it in the mail box it had to be mailed through the USPS. Like I said I may be wrong...but that is what has kept me from doing that...

You are absolutely correct... I've heard the same thing and that's why I plan to stick them in the door and not a mail slot or mail box.

Suzanne,

I'd love to hear how you make out with this approach. I had done something similar when I first signed up with Arbonne. I was SO EXCITED that I wanted to tell everyone. So I canvassed my neighborhood but that didn't result in anything. I then bought some mailing lists and did a mass mailing. That, too, didn't result in anything.

I ultimately started seeing results with one-on-one's and group presentations.

I certainly don't want to put a damper on your efforts. Perhaps your area will be more responsive than mine, which is why it'll be interesting to hear the results of your efforts.

I am not expecting a huge response at all. IfI get 1-2%, I'll be very lucky!

I figure it is worth a shot though. My goal is to try this method for about 3 months. If I don't get any response at all, then I will give up on this idea!

I hope the post card will appear to be very professional. I've put a lot of time into it to ensure that it is nice. We will see, I guess!

i order from vistaprint.com alot. they did my arbonne business cards...250 FREE (i paid for shipping). after your first order they email you freebies all the time. i recently got 100 postcards for FREE plus shipping, they are shiny on the front and even printed on the back. you can design your own, even download pics like arbonne products to use. very pleased with mine, i did them as personal invites to once a month biz-op presentations locally.
