I was wondering if it was possible to be a wedding planner and have an outside fulltime job at the same time. I would love to just devote my time to being a wp but I need to make a living first while I get the experience and portfolio built up and when I feel I can live on my wp salary, then I can quit my day job.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think it would be wise to do the wp part-time while still doing your regular fulltime job. It would be a lot of work but it would give you time to get to know the wp industry, make contacts/get vendors, while still making money. Once you feel things are going well with the wp, maybe you can cut back on your fulltime job and slowly transition to being a full time wedding planner.
